Default 1/2 day at nurburgring in July

I will be in Germany for a week in July, I know www.rent-racecar.de.

Any recommendations to get a few laps in with a decent car? I only have a 1/2 day (Spouse restricted) and on a budget.

Thanks!

I used RSR Nurburg and liked them although I realise one member on here did not. They have a GT3RS if your budget stretches that far...

Speaking of stretching budget, Rent a race car has this for rent but one should know the track and have great car control before renting her.

My wife (I picked the right girl.) just e-mailed me a special the Lindner hotel offers; A junior suite with a few perks located at the Nurburgring including a 2 hour use in an Astom Martin Vantage.

Since I am tight on time, seems like a fun deal for about $750.00.
The wife will be happy and I figure that is enough laps to understand what the Nurburgring is. I won't be there long enough to get fast, so maybe leave the race car untill I have a few days to spend there..

Anyone done this? http://www.lindner.de/de/hotel_ferie...n_nuerburgring

I've booked a 4-lap evening session in a Clio Cup with RSR Nurburg for early July. They also have Lotus', BMW, and Porsche in their fleet. I have been happy with the communication I have had with them to date.

Make sure the hotel deal allows you to go on the track with the AMV8. Most rental company's in German specifically exclude driving on the 'ring. Being that they are close, it stands to reason they would allow it (if not cater to it), but double check before booking.

Have a look at this site (link to cars - but check out the whole thing - it's very informative) http://www.heiser.net/documents/nurburgring/#car

BTW - Around what part of July are you planning the trip? I'll be over in late July for the GP.
