Ice blue was the release colour for the Turbo S Coupe.

So I'd deduce we be seeing the first shots of Platinum.

I though all official car weights were of the cars with "standard" options. Like, standard seat, brakes, etc...

JMD: No, unfortunately that is not the case. It is however commonly thought to be like that...

So, the quoted 3075 lbs weight a a 2010 GT3 is in the lightest spec possible, right?

Mine has the lightest specs possible (PCCB, Carbon seats), and Full Akrapovic race exhaust (63 lbs less). When aligned/corner balanced, I was told it weight 2940 lbs with half tank of gas. I thought it was too low and another place said 2965 lbs with half tank of gas as well. It would seem that the 3075 is with standard options or both those damn scales were WAY off....

And in the past, the Porsche quoted weights have been known to be much lighter (incorrect) that actual weight of the cars with fluids...

The Euro version comes with the 1-piece racing seats (Carrera GT Style), while the US version comes with the folding GT2 seats with airbags.

Even with the weight savings from the following parts, the total number comes at 170 lbs, but it is 198 lbs (90Kg) per original marketing material in Europe. So I suspect there is something else in the exhaust, rear window, wing and deck lid.

1-piece Carbon Seats
New PCCB (aluminum centers)
New CL Wheels
Li-Ion Battery
Carbon Hood
Carbon Mirrors
RS door panels
Radio Delete
Cup Holders Delete
AC Delete
2010 RS LWFW
Aluminum Rear shocks
Carbon Side Intakes
Insulation (Soundproof)
No roof Transportation system
Seat Belt fastener reinforcement in the floor

Sorry if off-topic:

JMD: I forgot to mention that the official weight is the lightest possible spec, with all fluids and 90% fulll tank. You had 50% full tank which might explain the difference.

NJ-GT: The list of weight savings on the GT2 RS is really interesting. The officially stated weight is 90 kg less on the GT2 RS vs. the GT2. In order to explain this you have to compare the lightest possible spec on both cars. If e.g. AC delete and the 1-piece carbon seats were an option on the original GT2 they don´t count. Do you know if these options were available on the GT2? I can´t remember.

NJ-GT: Can you please wright down the different weight savings for each of the items in your list so we can see how it all adds up?
Porsche use 2 aluminium diagonal brace insteed of steel at the rear ( - X lbs ), Lexan rear window ( - 6,6 lbs ) and Lexan rear side windows ( - 3,6 lbs ). I suppose that the GT2 RS also will use the small fueltank 67 litres.

Does anyone have the emptyweights of the 67 litres and 90 litres tanks? Also does any one have the definition of the DIN-weight norm?

What's that red color?

Doesn't look like standard guards red, I like it a lot.

From the official UK blurb I got today:

New plastic expansion intake manifold saves 3kg

Single mass flywheel saves 8kg

Carbon bonnet saves 2.5kg

polcarbonate rear windows save 4kg

aluminium diagonal braces rear axle save 1.4kg

new dual spring arrangement front axle saves 3kg

brake hubs on the rear axle made of Aluminium (GT2 just the front) overall saving against all stainless is 4.8kg (so the RS does not save all this weight compared to GT2 but not specified the exact saving)

Unspecified weight saving:

Wheels

deletion of cup holders and special RS logo carbon panel in place

removal of sound proofing in the rear.

They don't really talk about the downforce this car produces. Does this car have as much downforce as the 2010 GT3 RS? I think they reduced the downforce to get less drag and higher top speed for the Ring.
