'08 GT3 RS in Nashville for sale
Disclaimer: I am not a dealer or salesman, however I am the membership chair for the Nashville PCA. I don't stand to benefit in any way from this posting.
One of the guys (a Dr.) who regularly attends the Nashville Cars-n-Coffee events here just traded his GT3 RS in for a new '10 RS to be built. He has many fine cars (Ferrari, MB's ect.) and you can see with only 2,600 mi. it's been driven very little.

The Nashville Porsche dealer (Jag. Porsche, Audi Nashville) has been very easy to get along with since the new ownership 2 yrs ago.

I looked at and drove this car yesterday- in tip top shape and a blast to drive. Unfortunately I can't seem to talk the wife into letting me spend $110k on my next car....

I'm not sure what they are willing to let it go for- I mistated the asking price in my original post. The salesperson Walter Flowers was very good to work with and seemed ready to move the car, so if you are interested in it he might be good to talk to. I've also met the owner a couple of times and he is an enthusiast owner who takes great care of his awesome stable of cars. If it wasn't a 2008, I would think it was new. Also, no affiliation with the owner or dealer...just want someone to buy my dream car so I can stop scheming about ways to get it in my garage!

I bought my '07 RS last September from this dealership (from 1,000 miles away) and the transaction was clean, no hassle, and straightforward. I've got nothing but good things to say about them.

I stopped by the dealer the other day and they have another orange RS which they took in on trade. Don't know anything about it other than that it is not listed on their website yet. This one has tinted windows so I know it isn't the other car. I would buy it, but I'm poor.

I don't think it is listed on there yet. I drove by on Monday and saw the tell-tale orange peeking out at me from behind the service center. I turned around and got out to take a look. While I was looking at it a guy came out to tell me they just took it in on trade and that it would be up for sale shortly. He confirmed it was a different car than the other one discussed in this thread. It also had tinted windows, which the other one didn't have.
I guess poor is relative pissedpuppy! There is currently about a $70k difference between a 993 and GT3RS, which makes me feel poor. Thanks for the compliment on my car- I love it and plan to hold onto it even if I'm fortunate enough to acquire a GT3RS!

Went by the dealer this weekend and the car is still sitting there waiting to be processed. From the wax pencil on the window it looks like a 2007 with 1,700 miles taht was traded on 6/01/10. Looks like they are asking $115k for it. Here are a couple of pics (no affiliation- just need it gone so I'll stop visiting it).

must be the econ.
it's sad that these .1 gt3, .1rs, .2 gt3, .2 rs sit on dealers' lots with no owners.
these are some of the best machines porsche has ever made. lightyears ahead of air cooled cars (technically.... as i know the earlier cars are prettier)...
someone drive them home and have fun with them.

Ted- I did not, but next time I pay it a visit I'll check them for you.
I agree the economy is to blame. Unfortunately, at 34 and a new father, a GT3RS is currently a little beyond my finances at the moment unless I want to neglect other things, such as emergency funds, 401(k), 529, etc., etc. Otherwise I would have snapped up one of these fine beauties the minute they hit the lot. Hopefully my finances will increase and the price will decrease so that I can get one in a couple of years.

I took a beating on my '07 C2S trade-in value but I more than made up for it in the deal I got on my '07 RS. These are such fantastic cars and it's definitely a buyer's market right now. I've put 10K miles on it since October and it's been a dream.
