13th place!

Not bad for a track car with power windows!

just think of a few other mods like CUP exhaust, CUP doors, Cup gears and monoballs. Could have broke into top 10!

Me thinks 13th is very impressive. Kudos to the drivers and setup!

Yeah very good for a street driven RS. It would of easily been sub 17th had it not been for all the big guns falling out. But hell even a top 20 finish for a car setup like this is beyond imagination. A true testament to Porsche's roots in my eyes...on a slightly tougher level. Enjoying the car you buy off the lot on the track and then being able to drive it home afterwards.

We had a trackday in 2004 the Thursday before an ALMS race weekend and the a bunch of clever teams signed up to get an extra practice day. I was on track with a street 996 GT3 all day. Grand Am and Cup cars are in a different orbit than anything with a license plate.

The street RS' 13th place is remarkable.

agreed, I wonder where it would have placed had WR made it into the drivers seat, not knocking the acheivement of the team that drove it, but Walter is man amongst men ... maybe could have been in top 10 ...

13th place is amazing! Can't believe it was driven to and from race too!
