You bet. I had tried to go sooner, but better late than never. CCW has a great reputation and I feel even better having had an inside look at their operation. They are also very reasonable price wise. John said he doesn't believe in flashy/expensive advertising and he said in effect that he wasn't going to pass on costs associated with that kind of activity or jack up his prices just to keep up with the Jones'. I was as impressed with his attitude as much as his product.

Hell, I passed him in my Cayenne Turbo on Laguna in the wet while he was in a GT3. He still wasn't intimidated! : )

 

Mooty...I bought my CCW's from you...they have that pebbly black finish....do you remeber if they were painted or anodized?

 

If it is shot-peened, it is anodized...

Thanks...the finish is holding up really well...no chipping or turning purple...although my red calipers are now dark maroon...so I know the heat is there but the finish looks great.

 

Hey fellas, any further details on CCW availability for the CL gt3??? Are we any closer to a date yet.....

I spoke to John last week and he had a set made, but needed the loaner/tester car back to test them, or something like that. He told me it would be "possible" to have a set of wheels to me in about a month. Hope this helps Rox!

 

Hear you Trak, was trying to avoid paying $10k on BBS but at the rate the Aus $ has tumbled in the past week, the CCWs will prob cost the same, lol....

Thanx TDM, exactly what I was hoping to hear. Wanting to swap to street tyres for the winter but hoping to get a set of rims for the cups for easy swaps... Please keep me posted if you hear more from John. Don't want to add to his headaches with more emails from oz...

I talked to John @ CCW this morning and he has the rears in working order but needs new "forged" fronts to build from as the current stock he has will not work the way it should. I hope I got that right, but bottom line is that I am going to call him back early July to check his status.
