So ,aren't stock 997.2 GT3s doing 1/4 in 11.8s and stock LP-560s 1/4 in 11.2s.(FastestLaps.com/ and every other test) Those are the stock results used everywhere for those cars. I don't know how those stock time were obtained, launched or not. And again, my car is not stock.
How was I dead even with a Evoms flashed 997.1 turbo 516whp/536wtq from a roll to 150mph?
From first gear(30mph), I got him by 1 car length at 170mph. From second, he got me by 1 car length at 170. 2 separate runs. He couldn't believe the 1/4 mile time either, until we ran each other last night.... before we ran each other, he said the same comment about the dragstrip. I wouldn't take this car to a dragstrip, though; only road courses
When all the results are posted on their website, I'll paste them here. There was a black Viper (which just rolled from the line, did not launch), and got a 1/4 ET of 11.4. The speed/time sensors much have read wrong only in my runs....
In different runs, I had 11.3-11.7 ET times depending how I came off the line...

As for your runs against the 997 Turbo, when you do rolling acceleration runs, you negate the AWD advantage of a 997 Turbo.
I think you have a very strong car, and the sound is amazing.

Guys, those were my best time results, and I'm gonna leave it at that. In other runs, I had a slower 1/4 times but faster trap speeds of 119-120.x mph. It all depended how the car was launched and if the DSC/SC was on or off. I know that the trap seems low for the ET, but the launch in that run was perfect. All stock car were running the times and traps
they were supposed to be running, cars right in front of me or after me. It was hard to believe for some people...

congrats on the runs. The GT3 is putting out near 500 hp to hit 169mph in a standing mile. That is similar to a C6Z06. I have a hard time believing it would be anywhere close to a flashed 997tt unless there was something wrong with the tt. Flashed 997tt's run 177-180mph in the standing mile. The 997tt should be bus lengths ahead at 170 mph

The Sharkwerks told me their 3.9 hit 176 at the texas mile, just for reference.
You can verify the flashed 997tt Vs my GT3 runs with Mike, PM him on this link, those are his dyno results:
http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/9...are-71whp.html
Again, gearing and no lag played a big part, regardless of the HP/TQ/weight differences.
His dyno is on point too. I've dyno'ed my car on his dyno before, and its within 5 hp or another local dynojet I've used.

WOW Jesus, your 7.2 GT3 is super fast! 7.1 GT3 RS can do 1/4 mile in 12 second flat if lucky and you are pulling sub 11.5 seconds
My RS is no faster than a 6 GT3 on a straight line pull at the track but I have Cup front spoiler and my rear wing has aggressive attack angle for better down force - which sacrifice top speed. I will look for a place to do some 1/4 mile run and report back when I get my pathetic numbers lol
Alex, lt me know if you want to bring your 3.9L for some side to side comparison

I dont care much about 1/4 mile time, but it'd be nice to know where it stands....
I may do a couple of passes at a dragstrip soon, just to confirm...

what was the 1/4 mile for the FORD GT?

Well, those guys at Exotic Rally need a lesson or two about running timing equipments. It is not the 2010 GT3 1/4 mile times that are off, it is the time for all the cars that are off by the 1/4 mile.
The 08 Superleggera cannot break under 12 secs, and this is using the LC.
The LP560/4 (multiple magazine tests) runs in between 11.3-11.6 secs to the 1/4 mile, they have LC as well.
A 2010 GT3 or GT3 RS, won't run 11.3 secs on the 1/4 mile, no matter how it gets launched. An exhaust and tuned ECU won't give these cars 120Hp (what they need to run 11.3 secs on the 1/4 mile).
The 997 GT2 (530Hp almost 100Hp more than the 2010 GT3) is a brutally fast car off the line, it even has launch control, and this car cannot run 11.3 secs on the 1/4 mile (it traps in between 125mph-127mph). The ZR-1 with 638 hp (over 200Hp more than a 2010 GT3) runs the 1/4 mile in 11.5 with speeds around 130 mph.
118mph on the 1/4 mile is for cars running 11.9-12.1 secs. Good luck trying to pull 11.3 at any venue doing proper timing.
Car and driver tested a heavily optioned bone stock 2010 GT3 (standard brakes, and a bunch of heavy stuff), 3,280 lbs test weight. 12.1 secs on the 1/4 mile at 118mph, same trap speed as this modified 2010 GT3. Most magazines test cars at the same venue where I run every month, high grip Airfield military grade pavement, and they know how to launch a car better than the average GT3 driver.

At this point Im curious more than anything else, so I will take the car to a proper dragstrip in the future. I don't expect to get 11.3 at it, but will see what it does. I do expect it to be somewhat faster than stock, based on my runs against the evoms only 516whp/536wtq 997 TT, which ran 11.8 at a dragstrip, rolling from start (no launch) with 44psi tires (not the best). Here is the vid/thead : http://www.6speedonline.com/forums/9...1-8-122-a.html. I know the results may be slightly different on the street, but head to head, whether from our 1st gear or 2nd gear runs to 170mph, we were dead even unto 150mph or so. We had 2 different end results at 170mph, depending on if the run started from 1st gear, or 2nd gear...

I have zero experience as far as drag strip goes. Much like you I don't care about straight line speed. How I do on a twisty race track is more important. Your GT3 is fast and I know that for sure even if your "true" numbers may be off by a tick or two. Most importantly you got to see what all your mods are doing compare with another car - namely a highly tuned TT
