My RS is here. Sorry it's only a Mk 1
Hi folks,
Just got my GT3.1 RS and although it ain't a Mk 2 I absolutely love this car. First thing I noticed vs my GT3.1 was how better it handled due to the 44mm wider track and the quickness it reached higher rev's due to the LWFW.
Opened her up in the back roads and realized that I couldn't even utilize 75% of its potential.
Anyway, just wanted to share my delight.

the cage is not missing a piece, there isn't one on passenger side on the oem RS roll bar/cage.

Is this a US thing? Euro-spec OEM cages (mine included) come with crossbars on both driver and passenger side... I'll post a pic when I get to it... Wonder if the RHD arrangement has sth to do with it...

I have an '01 996R ... not a 'sedici by any means, but a great, great bike ... and I'm assuming that's a Desmosedici but with a single out? I've not been keeping up with Duc, but hell, it looks serious!
Years ago, I would have broken in there and barely glanced at the gas-powered stuff just to get at the Campag' gear. It reminds me that marketing and product people need to look at the "adjacent correlation" data again and figure out how the Duc, Campag and Porsche brands could do something collectively. Maybe if they combined with a fourth "ultimate" brand like, I dunno ... Chimay ... tell me Porsche and Ducati and Champagnolo owners don't drink Chimay ...

CarreraGT, a 996R is definitely a great bike. I feel I may have over done it w/ the D16. Oh well IPD again. Anyway interesting view on the three brands. Yeah they share a lot of things in common - fantastic engineering.
Brim - I trust you're a cyclist too.
Mooty, Crex, Leif997 - I hope I'm not missing a roll bar piece. The car was imported from the US. What should I do? Try to get a OEM part? Oh no!
