Default Took My 2010 RS to the ring- pics

I took tourist delivery of my RS at Stuttgart and took it to the ring for the VLN race, then stayed over a week and drove on the ring. I had a lap with Sabine driving my car and the group I was with went to her raceshop and dinner with her and Klaus that night. Here are some pics from the trip. Now I have to wait for the car to be shipped to me.

The factory delivery center:

Sport Classics were all over the place:

There were two other RS deliveries that day, both gray/red:

There was a blue RS with yellow stripes and wheels too:

My car got snowed on:

Stopped by the GM Center at the ring (my mom drives a CTS-V 6 speed manual):

Sabine took me for a lap in damp conditions:

This is us coming off of the lap:

I had her sign my car:

This is Sabine's RS in her shop:

Stopped in Karlsruhe on the way to Stuttgart:

I have a picture of my Orange 2007 RS in front of Hooters here and I wanted to duplicate the shot:

love the pics, drronh!
Sounds like an awesome trip.
You should have included Sabine's time with her signature.

Fantastic pictures and love Sabine's light weight holy jeans lol. How much does Sabine charge for a ride in her RS around the ring? Didi you have to pay her to drive your car? Did it cost you extra to deliver the RS in Germany?

Thanks. I did not time her lap, as it was wet and I didn't want to encourage her to spin my new car.

I don't know how much she charges. We were supposed to go around in her GT3, but she showed up in her Range Rover and said the RS was in the garage. It is customary to tip her after a lap, which I did. It costs $4075 for tourist delivery, which is not an option for the RS in the USA, but I got some strings pulled. Here is another pic of Sabine signing my shirt:

The ring was open to the public most days. but for a while it was closed for testing. We saw the GT3 R Hybrid, a bunch of Audi R8 GT3's, and even the Ferrari 599XX. Traffic varied from vary little to moderate, but most driver's were curteous and stayed right. There was one or more new accients almost every lap. I did 25 laps altogether. I drove conservatively becasue I did not want to find out if the factory insurance covered the ring, but it is a public toll road with posted speed limits on part of it (which nobody obeyed).

Yes she does have a full cage in her RS and I looked at it closely because it is very similar to the one in my 2004 GT3R.

Great Pics, it must of been a thrill taking delivery of your new RS and doing the Ring. Congratulations and enjoy your RS when it comes into the States.

Fabulous! Way to go. Do all european delivery cars require a front plate? Is that drilled on?
