Torque Wrench

Torque Wrench
Was thinking about pulling the trigger on this torque wrench for center locks:

Anyone with experience with this one?
Any thoughts on a breaker bar? I'm not a muscle-builder, so I was thinking I'd need one at least 36" long.
Thanks

I purchased this same wrench, and it is very well made and heft!!! For the money, it is very nice tool! I was surprised by how big it is. It does "break down" into it's nice case, but is still pretty large. I do not think it will lay flat in the front trunk. It will fit up front, but it is bigger than I imagined.
I have the wrench, but the car it goes with will to be completed this week!!!!!!

thanks for the reply
anyone have any other suggestions for a 400+ ft/lb torque wrench? I'm not too comfortable about going to Road America in 4 weeks without self-torquing the wheels

Is that the correct pic? I mean, does the actual tool look like that "Snap-on copy" design? The unit I've seen is quite different.

I believe that is the same torque wrench I purchased. It breaks down into three parts (as I recall) and fits into a rugged carrying case. The carrying case just barely fits diagonally into well of the front trunk. I bought a Titan 40" long 3/4 drive breaker bar from Northern Tool to remove the center lock. That mother has to fit upright behind the passenger seat if you take it to the track. I also purchased the "assembly aid" from Porsche (ridiculously expensive) that screws into the hub after the center lock is removed so the wheel can be removed and replaced without damaging the PCCB rotors. Hopefully I will only have to use this stuff at home for pad changes (also bought the Girodisk spreader which also works on my Z06s). Expensive hobby these track days.

That's the same as Brian's, give or take. Quite a different head/ratchet design. I think Brian said the manual on that Tooltopia wrench allowed it to be used as a "breaker."
Here's the Porsche Special Tool for breaking the centerlock nut.
997.361.161.00
(see attached)
It's "only" about $200 ... : ) But it does collapse, it is very nicely made and sturdy enough to support my heft, plus it collapses to fit easily in a box in the frunk.
I think the alignment tool should be included with the car like the alignment pins on ceramics cars. Simple as that. "$145K for the car, but pay $500 for this excessively complicated and expensive device that serves little more purpose than a tube with a thread on one end." Hardly the way I expect Porsche to behave.
ps. any pics of that alignment tool "in action" please?

Is there a price for this part number yet? Looks expensive.
Besides price, is there another reason not to use the Porsche multiplier?
Anyone using it?

MJONES WROTE (Sept 09): In the Manual the P/N was transposed and is incorrect. (oops!) The correct P/N is: 997 450 332 90
It has not been priced as of yet, but will be available to order September.
