Lol, Adam is not missing a chance to exercise the bad boy. He was running 2:06's at TH to break it in

Like those titanium tip extensions...hehe...

Looks like a perfect day! Wish I was there

PS- Hey Colm was there too, just saw the pics. Looking very racer-like

You rascals!

Sorry I missed you. Next time. I was just a spectator, simply drove my S (same as Colm's) to the paddock, pulled my camera and started shooting.

Yes it does. The 997.2S DFI is a great engine. Savyboy knows that.

I suspect it's a home made sound baffle..... attempt to reduce or redirect the sound away from the db meter.

Lame sound restrictions at LS. Build a great track in 1957 then the wealthy home owners come and build house around the hills of LS and complain about hearing load car noises at the track. Lame

Sad, but true.

On the previous GT3's, I've found that having unequal length elbows exit to the side of the car and downwards (based on years of experience in advice from others having loud cars there) it's possible to shave of 3 or so dB and then drive the car full throttle. But the "Sport" button has to stay off. Pathetic to take a car there and not be able to use all of the loud pedal. There is a vacuum valve trick to keep the exhaust closed, but I've not even investigated whether this engine has the same connections, though I imagine it does.

The contraption you see was hastily assembled from 3 inch heat duct and hose clamps. It fell off. It needs some high temp rubber to clamp between the duct and the tips. I didn't have the rubber tube with me this time, so I protected the tips with a variety of race tape and heater bandage tape, but it gradually burned off and then it all fell off. Equally pathetic! : )

Next time, I'll be prepared to do battle with the sound ****'s!

And, it's not just race tracks... there were 1027 noise complaints last year from people who built their homes next to a local Bay Area airport. What is almost unbelievable is that 620 of those came from two households!
