Fred,

That car looks like a "Lesson-To-Porsche-How-To-Choose-Colors-And-Graphics"

It just gets better. Very likely the lightest 2010 GT3 RS so far. Where do I send my deposit by the time you get bored of it (I almost bought your green 07 RS).

The light overlays and decals really set it off. I really like what you did with the car, and I hope to see it around the bay!

anyone passing me like that without a point by even in open group, i will put him in the wall.

+1

Thanks for giving me a heads up on Fred's video. That pass by the red mustang on the left through the esses is the biggest **** up move unless I stick my head out and wave him to the left with a torch light. What does he has to prove other than risking an incident in a DE event?? Fred, please direct this video to Doug and also give him the information on the driver/car if you have it. He should bring his bad **** mustang to a NASA event instead of TMR.

Well, for sure that was a "dick" pass -- and I don't know the driver in the 'stang -- but depending upon the passing rules, it was a pretty lethargic pace from up the hill into 2, all the way through 7 and the line of the camera car was wide of the line to the first apex as if "getting over" and inviting a pass ...

From the other pics, it looks like a fast crowd, with a Scuderia and what looks like a Stradale. The disparity in pace might have been a pressure cooker -- the red mist doesn't take more than a couple of turns to descend ... : ) ... the traffic behind must have been bunching up looking for point-by's to get past.

Personally, I loathe impatience on the track -- the stakes of life and limb are just plain far too high -- and I would rather take a pass through the pits and get the starter to find a big gap for me than make that knucklehead move, but if you look at the relative speed, I think there's two sides to this one.

now that i am a little calmer from my single malt....

the pace was off for sure. perhap open passing as well....
but this is infineon.
and it is the esses.
'stang could have passed in T7, T4, T3, T1, T11, all those turns have SLIGHTLY more run off then esses and much eaiser to catch the car if either the passee or the passer messed up. passing in the esses will end up VERY UGLY if something should go wrong.

now if this was the lemon race or the last lap of ALMS, sure, i might drive OVER the car in front of me. but i think this is DE. last time i won my DE, i got no girl, no money.....

You have to be really selective as to what organization and what group you want to run. We have open passing, but it is self policed and that move would have gotten you a vote to go home..

I've been running with NASA for 10 plus years and never saw someone pass at the esses with respect to DE event. Clearly a bonehead move. Mike

OK, i was quite disturbed by the video.
i run with TMR and always thought it was a fine organization.
i spoke with the head of TMR and he also watched the video. he was not aware of such incident on the day of the event. if someone pointed out to him, he would have thrown the 'stang out. it not only passed the camera car, it also passed in several corners without obeying the passing rule of the run group.

let's be cautious out there. lot of hooligans on track now days.
