Heel/Toe in RS
#16
I think most folks are doing toe and roll instead of heel and toe. With the first you do need to get the brake pedal down and it is easier when you are doing hard braking on the track. If you are really using your heel to blip, you have to rotate your heel which takes a bit more flexiblity. If you can do that, you can heel toe just about anything as long as the two pedals are not far apart.

I've small feet and have always had problems with ht. The solution I found so I can "toe and roll"
comfortably are the rennline pedal set. I put it in my '10 gt3 rs and I absolutley love it. It is a
great and very very functional mod. Highly Recommended!!

The '10 rs is fantastic. i've about 275 miles on it and will post what i think after about another
100. It is a lot easier to drive than previous rs versions. since i have inadequate skills, i can
only drive the car at this point - i cannot give the car a ride!

Hi - can you send me a link to the pedals you use from Rennline - I have searched but not sure which ones. Getting my RS in Aug and I too have small feet, so your advice is very helpful

I found on my 997.1 GT3 w/PCCB that getting the overall driving position 'correct' was a big factor in being able to heel/toe (well toe/roll as mentioned above).
I agree that the PCCB pedal position is quite high, and that under track braking the pedal does come into
a better position, which of course does make it hard to do this on the street.
for me, getting the seat back/raked at the correct distance and angle was key to being able to roll my
foot over onto the accel pedal while braking with the "big toe" (BTW I have never been able to master
the heel/toe where you keep your toes on the brake, and rotate your heel over to the accel to blip it,
I just cant keep a constant pressure on the brake ...)
I found if I was too close to the pedals the angle of my knee/leg was not optimal ... so if you are having
trouble, try adjusting the seat back until you can only just fully depress the clutch at 'almost' full
extension of your leg (and djust the wheel out/back accordingly) ... see if that helps ... YMMV

Second that. I toe & roll most of the time (bad habit) and the adjustable throttle plate helps tremendously. I have it set up to tilt the throttle slightly towards the brake.

BS !!! They just don't know how!
On the street it can be difficult because you are not hitting brakes hard enough to compress brake pedal.
Walter is ok with I am also

Lowly C2S here, so I'm not sure if I'm allowed. I'm in the "clown feet" club too! I can brake with the left side of my foot and blip throttle with the right thanks to my uber-wide duck feet. Is this what everyone here's referring to as "toe and roll?" It's very uncomfortable for me to angle out my heel in the traditional style, although I am able to with effort. I'd be interested in knowing why CRex thinks it's a bad habit.
