Default '10RS Thicker Wheel Option?

Has anyone taken delivery of a RS car w/ the Alcantara thicker wheel?
if so, how do they like it, and does it have the Yellow stripe?
TIA

Haven't seen one but 99% sure no yellow stripe, since option CLA is available on models other than the RS.

CLA is, by definition, always alcantara... even on the Turbo:

BTW, on MY11 cars, CLA wheels will have a black frame, not volcanic grey.

Not often you see an item from Parts that costs less than the option. You win, Larry!

JAMS......are you certain of this? I ordered CLA and specifically told my dealer that I only wanted it if it came in leather. Multiple times. They assured me that they will get the CLA in leather. Guess we will wait and see........it's not that big of a deal, but I might be getting a discount on the CLA wheel if it shows up with alcantara.

The Suncoast ad sez the "black spokes" are standard on '11 cars.
Does that include the '11 RS...my '11 does not have black spokes.

I have a 2010 with the "CLA" option and I can confirm that it is Alcantara and that the spokes and center are black (not volcano grey) and that it does have the yellow centering stripe. I love the look and feel of the wheel. I had the thicker wheel option in leather on my 2007 GT-3 and I prefer the Alcantara.

The wheel is thicker, but not overly so. It is not as thick as our 2007 BMW's wheel.

Hope this helps!

I have the thicker wheel on my 2011. Looks and feels great and it has the yellow stripe. That was important to me. The steering wheel is all black. I can post a pic later if you would like one.

Yes. Pretty sure CLA is alcantara only... XPA is the thicker leather wheel but I don't see that in my copy of the RS order guide anymore.

damn ... if the ctr is also black it probably means that a black airbag module will also be needed for those of us retrofitting it to their cars ...
