Default lost my security key for the wheel nuts!

managed to lose the special key to remove the security lugs on my GT3's wheels. i can get the dealer to mount dismount, but the only way to get my own is to buy a whole new set, which is both unnecessarily expensive, and more to the point-- i don't even want the security bolts anyway.

where can i order a set of Porsche approved / compatible regular bolts to replace the 4 security bolts on my car?

the car is never left in a situation where the wheels could be stolen anyway...

From the dealer parts department. I think I paid about $4 a piece. Of course that was 3 years ago, so they probably cost over $10 a piece now.

Just bought 4 "long" bolts this week from my stealer..... to replace the security bolts which are a PITA when swapping wheels at the track.

They were $14.50 Cdn ea. I checked at Suncoast and they retail them at 7.50 US ea.....

You can get a replacement key from your dealer. You just need to give the parts department your VIN.

Without the key ... a bit of a PIA ...to replace the bolts

Techs at the dealer will have a kit with all the wheel security keys

tried that... they said they'd sell me an entire set of new bolts with a new security key.

that's right. good thing they lent me the missing key. well actually sent one of their guys over with the kit. there are a total of 20 keys. mine had the "58" measurement, whatever that means.

i'm thinking just replacing the security bolts with a regular bolt...

suncoast. you'll need the long bolts. keyed lugs are a pain at the track. i swapped them all out.

they shipped very quickly.
