When the shut off activates you will get a TC light on the dash (just drive it and it goes off in 1 minute), need to reset the clock and cycle the windows up and down fully once to reset the auto open/closes limits. Takes a minute of time and can be done while driving which wouldn't be the case if you had a flat battery you would waste a lot of time getting going.

Super service from Tony at Voltphreaks (no affiliation, JSC)

Was recently getting a big package from CA so I sent 2 oldest of our (my section at the track/club) 8 VPH750s for a check-up with Tony at Voltphreaks.
He turned them around in a week and got them back to us.

Both checked out fine (one from early 2012 in 05cup, other late 2012 in 10cup) though they had both needed some trickle feed of late
at one time or another if left unused for 4-5 weeks
... so I wanted to double check as we have 3 far away races over the next few months (and don't want to lug spares)

Tony checked the circuitry - some discoloration from heat on one but no fuses blown - and the cells and all seems well with 12.8-13.0v at rest.

Great service and if they make it to 2018 I'll be very happy.
They say longer ... so far so good ... lets see!
