Default '10 RS colors, etc.

Look, white/red may be the best choice. I have grown to hate the other choices. In 10 years will we look back and have a favorite?

color is a personal thing.
and many are doing PTS.
but there are traditional RS colors and vintage or vintage-like porsche color.
traditional RS color is white with decal of various colors.
964 RS was the odd ball (in a good way) where it had many unique colors. however, some of these unquie colors are just that. unique and many (like myself) associate that color only with 964 RS, such as amethyst, mint green and pinkish purple. if one chose those color on 7RS, imo, i would say it's the "wrong" color. but that's just me. black gray is a unique color but it is not an tradtional RS color. but if you like it so be it. same goes with maritime, mexico etc. a lot of ppl love gulf blue but that really is a race car color ala 917 and such. if will sure be a talk piece but it's not "period correct' on a 7RS. orange and green for the gen 1 RS are fun and unique to the .1 RS. other than that, i wont call it as RS colors.

above are my cerebral analysis
but hell, this is an illogical hobby. any color would be cool as long as it is YOUR color.

For the answer I think we should look to the original RS or to the 964 RS, what colors they offered and which have aged best.

I really like what they did with the 997.1 RS colors. I like pretty much all of them. 997.2 RS - not so much. Pity.

if i were you, forget decals.
get body color right, the decals are easy to make.
i am 100% certain lots of graphic guys will do those decals soon and you can change color every year as you wish. changing body color would be another story.

Blue is my favorite color and it will always be in style as far as I'm concerned. All my Porsches are blue.

Will you ever stop wearing blue jeans?

i like blue,
but i never wear jeans ;-)
i prefer costo $8 sweat pants. especially when i wear it with expensive suits going to pompous restaurants. like masa.
gents must be in suit or sport jackets. they never say no sweat pants....

Basically what "dertub" really mean is,

Dertub only like the color that he choose for his own car.

and if other people choose different color for their own car,

Dertub will "HATE" it... because according to Dertub it is NOT the best choice...

again please take note that,
Dertub do NOT JUST hate one specific color combo
but Dertub actually hate EVERY COLOR COMBO OUT THERE
if the COLOR COMBO is NOT WHITE/RED !!!

Basically, Dertub HATE the choices that other's people might want to have,
and Dertub want everybody to follow Dertub choice.(if not you are at risk that Dertub will HATE your choice) hahaha

Just like when Dertub Started this thread:
https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-...ighten-up.html
Dertub said:
"I can't believe that a someone would order an RS with full leather, a lift kit and lightweight headlights !!!
Do buyers really understand the history of this car?"

so you guys can clearly see that Dertub want everybody to order their RS with the same
Options as Dertub's,
and Dertub also want everybody here to order the same color combo as Dertub's car,
or Dertub will HATE your car.
(hopefully Dertub do NOT hate the owner of the car though) hahaha
(I am scared)

but Dertub,
if everybody order their RS with the same spec and color as yours,
wouldn't it make your RS not "above them all" anymore ???

heck, even Vladimir Putin the de facto "absolute ruler" of Russia,
do not dare to HATE every Russian RS buyer that do not order the same color and options for their RS as what Putin prefer for him (if he buy any) hahaha

but then again... there is that "Hugo Chavez" dictator kind of things

ps: in 10 years hopefully we make enough money to buy the new RS model at that time,
and buy the best color combo that we prefer and available at that time,
so we are NOT stuck with the same 10 years old 997 GT3 RS mk2...
