Haha prosper, you should cool down a bit

About colors : well, Porsche gave us every possibility to choose other colors than standard on the 997 RS... so this is why we debate about color preference like on any other Porsche.

With the 996 RS it was simple : red or blue striping...

You could say that a white RS is more typical, on the other hand now one can personalise his RS and make it a unique one...

Default Wow ! I have real Fan out there !!!

You are basically wrong and need to cool down.

again please take note that,
Dertub do NOT JUST hate one specific color combo
but Dertub actually hate EVERY COLOR COMBO OUT THERE
if the COLOR COMBO is NOT WHITE/RED !!!

Basically, Dertub HATE the choices that other's people might want to have,
and Dertub want everybody to follow Dertub choice.(if not you are at risk that Dertub will HATE your choice) hahaha

Just like when Dertub Started this thread:
https://rennlist.com/forums/997-gt2-...ighten-up.html
Dertub said:
"I can't believe that a someone would order an RS with full leather, a lift kit and lightweight headlights !!!
Do buyers really understand the history of this car?"

so you guys can clearly see that Dertub want everybody to order their RS with the same
Options as Dertub's,
and Dertub also want everybody here to order the same color combo as Dertub's car,
or Dertub will HATE your car.
(hopefully Dertub do NOT hate the owner of the car though) hahaha
(I am scared)

but Dertub,
if everybody order their RS with the same spec and color as yours,
wouldn't it make your RS not "above them all" anymore ???

heck, even Vladimir Putin the de facto "absolute ruler" of Russia,
do not dare to HATE every Russian RS buyer that do not order the same color and options for their RS as what Putin prefer for him (if he buy any) hahaha

but then again... there is that "Hugo Chavez" dictator kind of things

ps: in 10 years hopefully we make enough money to buy the new RS model at that time,
and buy the best color combo that we prefer and available at that time,
so we are NOT stuck with the same 10 years old 997 GT3 RS mk2...

I just don't favor the blue or gray color choices. Sure, PTS will bring some interesting colors for the extra money. As far as lightweight? Well, the RS started out that way in '73. I like to think of the present car that way and hope it doesn't just turn into a marketing badge... Panamera RS ?

I don't give a rats *** what you and detrub have going on...I don't give a ****!

The only thing making this thread controversial is your bull$h!t trolling.

Just stop.

Oh and don't bother replying to me with one of your ridiculously long, novel-like post, save that $h!t for UN Assemblies.

You have a problem with detrub? Deal with it like a man! I don't want to hear your negative bull$h!t anymore.

If you have something POSITIVE to add, then please do so. I look forward to it.

well, obviously you reply, so thanks for showing that you care to reply

and I am educated enough not to wrote "dirty" words

if I am an RS owner, I obviously will not be happy,
if someone said, they HATE my color choices,
and the BEST color is theirs... that's all...

and Mjspeed, I don't know what RS mk2 color you choose,
but if "dertub" came to you and say directly in your face that he HATE your car color combo,
and the only color combo that he like is his...
what will be your respond ? will it be full of the "wonderful" language like your post to me ?

ps: if you don't want to hear my "BS", don't read my post,
but too bad you just can NOT prevent me from posting controversial reply to a controversial thread,
just like I can NOT stop you from using "dirty" "cursing" "uneducated" words

That's the difference...you care what other people think of your choice and apparently need their approval, I don't.

If people don't like what I do with my money or the way I speak, then they can go and **** themselves, just like you can son.

ah, you reply to my post...
Thanks...

I actually do not need approval from others for my choices,
and in line with that spirit,
I would NEVER post that I hate other people color combo if it is NOT the same as mine.
That is why this post is "controversial" in the first place.

so based on your respond above,
if Dertub came to you and said he do not like your car color combo,
I presume, you will tell him directly on his face that
He can go and "F..K" himself right ?
because that is basically what dertub had been saying to you by starting this thread,
the only difference is, he do NOT say it directly on your face but through this thread

which is basically what I am sayin here (to dertub),
but without using the "colorful" words like you.

ps: calling me "son" or calling me with "dirty words" do NOT help you win a debate

Default PTS is fine with me. Glad it is offered.

As long as the dealer will order it for you... probably just want a little more on the deposit.

I would switch my color to white if I could bet back trim/wheels.
It will cost very little to make all red black.
I don't like red, but it is classic RS. if I can't get to like it, I will make the mouth black, wheels black, mirrors and wing tips white or black and seat belts black. Not classic RS, but the nicest color combo.

Remember when people paid 5K to make the MKI RS white?
RS is supposed to be white to me. I don't care about all other colors as long as white is free I'm very happy.

I am relatively new to this forum, so I'm not an expert on who's here and what goes on here. But just as an observation, maybe we can cut down on the drama a little and focus the bandwidth on things like alignment settings, options for safety equipment, delivery schedules, etc. While I find prosper's analysis interesting and agree with some of his points, I too believe he should tone it down some. And here's some friendly advice to dertub, I think most people are mature enough to know that everyone is entitled to their opinions about what color or what options are good or bad, and they probably know that there can be endless, thoughtful debates about them. But maybe why some people have issues with some of your posts is the manner in which you express your opinions. When you use words/phrases like "HATE", "what a joke", some people might just find them offensive, demeaning, etc. Just my two cents.

For the record, I have a RS going through production right now. It is grey/red,and yes, I kept the A/C and I ordered such comfort items as satellite radio and bluetooth, because I actually drive to the track (about 10 events a year) and will drive my RS to work sometimes.

Default I agree.

The "ignore" option will help in the mean time !
