Black Friday @ SharkWerks
Today was a weird day but in a good way that is... We're so used to seeing white GT3s here (a good thing) so it was neat to see a rare black 2007 GT3, a black 2004 996 GT3 and as well as a brand new black 2010 GT3.
An early morning start and in comes the 2010:
The 2007 MK1 black GT3 came into us for a GT3RS clutch & flywheel conversion, our exhaust and the Evomsit software. There she is next to the 2004 GT3 (getting a LOT of stuff):
Here's the 2010 getting worked on first:
Off with that stock exhaust:
On goes ze SharkWerks bypass:
There she is ready to go home:
Now it's over to the 2007:
On the lift she goes and out comes the transmission:
In goes the single mass flywheel:
Off comes the steel gt3 pulley:
On goes the GT3RS pulley:
Off with the stock bumper and exhaust:
We then installed the sharkwerks bypass and our larger diameter tips:
Over to the interior (which had 996GT3 seats moved over from his previous car) and we installed some Rennline gear:
Here's a shot of the light-weight HRE Competition C-20 wheels:
Off for a test drive:
There she is ready to go home (and spend some time at the track):
And then on to the 996GT3, which came back from a cage at Tony's. She's got Moton ClubSport suspension, a Guard LSD, a LWF, RS tail (coming), GT3 seats, Cup rotor conversion and then some more which I'll post later:

It was a nice day for sure... And it wasn't even raining?
I hear you on that. I'll keep my eye out for ya
I promise I will shortly!
I've posted a thread about a certain white one though

It was Black Friday last week with the GT3s and so it seems the black theme continued today We've got a pair of black on black 2010 twin turbo cars (one a 997.2TT and the other the PanameraTT) to work on this week....
In comes the 2010 997TT:
The factory wheels are somewhat nicer than the Mk1 factory wheels.
The steering wheel and paddles are brilliant and so much better than the standard PDK wheel...
But on to more important matters:
Reading out the new 2010 ECU...
Already hard at work deciphering the new 997TT ECU
Early days yet but my first impressions are that the car is considerably quicker than the 997.1TT out of the box. With the gearing and blazing quick shifts in PDK form it really goes hard from down low. The suspension is more predictable. She looks a lot like the outgoing 997.1TT from the outside. Other than the front LEDs, the larger rear tail pipes (and LEDs) and bigger side mirrors are the giveaways.
As far as the Panamera goes it actually uses a different ECU and it's stashed away and harder to get to than the Cayenne:
James hard at work getting the PanameraTT ECU...
I have to say she goes like a bat out of hell even in stock form Fred will be happy

Some folks outside the US seem to have issues How about these?
A few more updates today.... as we're starting to look at the some of the maps:
Creating "real" a dual-chip solution. That means two independent, full and switchable maps. This isn't a single file with a unit that "forces" certain ignition map.
Also James and Todd testing the "real" dual-chip solution (for 91 octane vs higher):
Not sure what to drive home tonight

should probably put a cup front splitter on the 996 to "match" the RS tail ...
I'm assuming the '10 exhaust dimensions are the same as the '07 so you could move any exhaust components from the earlier car to the newer one?
Also, is it my imagination, the camera angle, or reality, but doesnt the 996 look a lot smaller than the '10?
