Cool to have an Intercity person posting here. I need a transport late Feb/early March. Been considering either you guys or FedEx auto transport. Both understood to be very high quality transporters.

Any RennListers discounts?

Thanks!

Well Nobody guessed this one.Well to make a long story short the car was shipped to me in transportation mode and would not drive faster than 21mph! Besides the lights not working neither did the PCM or any of the electronics. Since I did not want to flat bed the car to the closest dealer fearing damage I decided to drive the car 12 miles with emergency flashers on not fun! I called the selling dealer and explained my experience and they thought it was done sure it was. Overall I love the car.Once at the dealer he hooked up his computer under the steering column and turned everything on while I watched.Overall Saturday was a rocky start. I though the car was running out of gas and coming from a Z06 I had no idea the car had a transportation mode. I'm learning a lot about this car.Sometimes the hard way

Eeeek ... I would never have guessed that either ... it would have been obvious though had you noticed the speed restriction ...

ah well a lesson for future owners! ... glad it will go fast now!

The car came of the transport last Wed and I drove it down my street which was less than 21mph. Did not drive it the first time till last Sat when all this was discovered. I'm glad it's over and time for break in! I'll post my delivery pics when I have time. Greg

That is just plain weird..?
No PDI. Hand-off not done
Was the splitter was installed?
Were the brake ducts installed?
Both parts are dealer installed as the tech does PDI

A chitty chat with the dealer might be in order

Maybe I did not explain correctly. The PDI was done everything except what my local dealer called"the handshake" which a large tablet style computer connects under the steering column and turns all the electronics on through software. The reason I was told by the tech Porsche has a "Transportation mode" is to eliminate any joy rides since porsche owns the car before the dealer receives it.I have spoken to all parties involved and they apologized for the whole incident. It was a case i guess telling the tech what to do and nobody followed up to see if it was completed or done correctly. The tech even called me and told me he completed it correctly. Go figure.........

my last RS, they left the thingie ma gig in my shock springs. when i drove the car off the lot, i didn't know what's wrong. all i was thinking is why is this RS such a POS. it just doesn't drive right at all. i pulled over on the fwy 3x on my way home (30 miles). then when i detailed it with wheels off, i saw the spacer in there, essentially i drove the car without any springs.
