Thumbs up New 2010 GT3 Owner Small Issue

Yesterday I took delivery of a Guards Red 2010 GT3 purchased in Chicago and delivered to California by the pro's at Intercity Lines.I'm just thrilled with this purchase what a awesome machine.I owned Z06's for 10 years and before that owned a 99 Boxster and my first Porsche was a 1990 C2 Targa. Pictures will follow 170 were taken. The issue I'm having is the light under the luggage compartment area and also the light under the engine compartment lid both do not work. I've looked in the owners manual and can not find any information on this.Any ideas hoping it's something I can fix and avoid a trip to the dealer.Greg

have you pulled the lights out, are there actually bulbs in them?

my guess is that "someone" during the shipping process might have pulled them to stop the battery from draining while the hood/eng was open ... have you checked the appropriate fuses in the driver footwell?

hope this is the solution...

Thanks for your replies. I haven't had a chance to look at the fuse or the bulbs yet. Anybody know if those two lights timeout after a period of time if left open?

Yes, they will time out. I believe it is an option you can set via PCM.

Take it to a dealer and they activate that lights with PIWIS. Its an option to turn it off so you can leave the engine compartment lid up to cool your engine without the light draining your battery.

Porsche Integrated Workshop Information System I think. All the dealers have them and you can buy one yourself out of China...

I have an appointment with my local dealer Monday morning. I'll post back here what caused it. Thanks for all your valuable input.

Some models require you to turn on the headlights or parking lights for the other lights to work. Try that?
