Tools such as the socket and the assembly aid (locater) are automatically sent to the dealers shop.

Now, the tech that PDI'ed the car may have glommed the socket for his own toolbox.

I don't understand this dealer crap...
I understand it perfectly, dealer just wants $500 of pure profit.

Allow the dealer a chance to come clean. If the dealer does NOT do the right thing, then contact Porsche NA directly and alert them to the situation.

A dealer in the Mid-Atlantic region just lost their franchise for repeated infractions of this nature.

If the dealer does NOT right the wrong, then please post the name of the dealer on this forum to prevent other members from having to deal with that particular Porsche store.

They should include the torque wrench as well.

I think there is a miscommunication between the socket and the torque multiplier to loosen the wheel. The socket ships in the trunk of your car. Just open the trunk. On the left side at the bottom in the back, there is a small access door. Open it up and the socket is in there. To get a wheel off, you need about 380 ft-lbs of torque to break it loose. The torque to tighten it is 350 ft-lbs. Porsche does have a torque multiplier that is available through parts and costs $500+ to help get the wheels off and on.

I'm just saying that homeboy should get a free wrench for them trying to screw him out of the socket.

Thanks!

I guess you're right and I stand corrected.
