oh. well... caught in my own lie...... getting too old to remember when i said what to whom....
furthermore, you are using things out of context. you cannot use info from two separate posts... you trying to trip me up, huh!?!?!?
not every car is 70k.
CA has no sales tax benefit. you lose ALL tax you paid on old car. you pay full tax on the full price of the next car u buy. this is why calif is its own city-state.

Fronts slotted are cheap from Protosport (Or something, I only bought once, they last a year.) $600.00 for 2 and the OEM rears should be around $300 for 2.

I would move right in, except they probably would make us run catalytic converters..
No emission check in Florida.

this thread has got way confusing, seems like the ideal solution is one where all you do is
swap out the PCCB rotors and hat for a direct replacement (pads if necessary) and no messing
around with uprights!
So, is in fact the StopTech kit such a direct replacement???

perhaps i was not clear.
the soln i am looking for is for PCCB equipped 997.1 GT3 and must meet the following.
it MUST be oem porsche rotors, cup car rotors are acceptable.
it MUST be direct swap on, meaning take pccb off, put this new rotor on, if i need to do more than that, it is not acceptable soln
i do not want new uprights.
i do not want to spend any time filing or reshaping pads to fit the rotors/hats.
the pads must be either RS29, 19 or 14, i will not use any other pads period.
so with above constraints, is there a direct replacement. if not, i will look for other cars.

Hi Mooty,
AP makes a direct 380mm replacement rotor for the front. It's a straight bolt on, use the same caliper, change to RS29's and you're good to go.
Give Mark Francis a call at CDOC, he can duplicate the order we did to convert my RS from PCCB's to Iron. Approx $2400 for the AP fronts.
Rear is easy - just pull off the PCCB rotor and put on the OEM rear street or cup iron rotor - direct swap.

This is what you are looking for right? 2010 front one piece Cup rotor. I wish I can get hold of one and test fit for you. Pretty cheap compare with two piece solution. I don't know if you still need to sand down the pads to fit. The key is to have the rotor sit center of the caliper ...
