Default garage lift

Since I can't drive the car for the next 3-4 months (midwest winter brutal already), I was thinking of putting a lift in the garage to free up a parking space underneath for my daily driver. Any thoughts on brands/types of lifts for this purpose?

For your application I would suggest a 4 post lift from Backyard Buddy (no affiliation). Made in Ohio USA and built better than any 4 post I have seen.

I have a 2 post asymmetrical lift in my garage and when I run out of parking space (which could be any day now) I will add a 4 post for additional capacity. For me the 2 post asymmetric gives me the most flexibility for service. However the 4 post can be configured to be free standing which comes in handy especially for car storage.

We have a Lift in our garage from Worth. http://www.worthequipment.com/4postlifts.htm

The Lift is great. Easy to use and reliable. But I recommend you get the aluminum ramp and not the steel ones as the weight difference is huge and well worth the expense.

I don't use the car under the lift every day but it's easy enough to drive in and out.

No and I hope that I would never ever say "evidence based'

If you are referring to the Polar Silver 993TT, thanks but it is no longer with us. It has been replaced by our newest addition, a 2007 GT3 RS (as soon as I can get to it I will post images). The 1997 Zenith Blue 993TTS in the picture is still part of the family.

I have two myself and Love them. I have another that I had to make special for width and height and really am not that impressed but it works. It's made by the same people that make all of the small cheaper ones. Superlift. Very unhappy with their service and product just gives know confidence like the Revolutions. They are worth the extra few bucks

Good width and no issues at all. Very solid large racks.

As far as earthquacks who knows but the huge posted Revolutions bolted down can't go too far would be my guess. They have double the post size or more and are super easy to use. 5 minutes to pull a car off top rack and put another back up there. So simple a Caveman can do it. Plus the extra long ramps by Revolution make it easy for anyone of my cars to get up on. The superlift long ramps won't allow my lower cars up top

FWIW, I've had a Werther Duplex single post lift for years and have been very happy with it.
Very low floor loading, takes up almost no extra space, easy install.
