Default my RS got an audi brother...

I took delivery yesterday of an R8 with the V10. I have only driven it about 20 miles but so far very impressed. Will post some pics and more thoughts tomorrow.

The 8 doesn't refer to the number of cylinders the same way an RS4 isn't a four cylinder or a Q5 isn't a five cylinder.

Sorry to hear that Audi is just going to collect dust, poor thing. Especially after your RS arrived. Can always let your friends drive it around when you are in your RS.

I love my RS but for me its not a daily driver. For the past year I have been using my 997TT cab as my daily driver. I must say there is something very special about this R8...very balanced, very fast, and easy on the eyes is a good combination. When the sun comes in LA I will snap a few pics.

Drove one twice in an effort to love it, but just couldn't warm up to it. Perhaps it was my mood.

I'm glad you could. I'm thinking my next dd will be the cab version.

Congratulations. The R8 is strangely not a very popular car in my region despite it's performance but I'm also tempted to have a look @ it.

Please show us what you have

It will be interesting to see how long you keep it. These things have been found to be "not ready for prime time." Keep track of the down time.

I have had my R8 for just about a year and about 2k miles and have yet had any problems at all with the car, are you talking reliability or just the car in general, because I think its just a fantastic car to drive.

Beautiful car Richk - I'm considering one as well. What options are on your car? Any discount off list? Did you order car or just get one in dealer inventory? Does it feel as fast as the RS on the street? How do you compare the sound close to redline? Sorry for all the questions.
