Default GT3 RS EVO video

This 4 minute clip is great. In particular the sounds from the cup car towards the end are orgasmic to a motorhead. I had to watch it twice!

Great find- thanks for sharing. The 3.8L RS must be awesome. I just drove a brand new (<20 miles on the odo) Speed Yellow 2010 GT3 and the engine and drive train is stunningly good (actually the entire car is fantastic). Needless to say I would love to drive the RS version.

Not to jack the thread but who is Chris Harris (the driver in the video)? Does he have a motor sports background?

Chris Harris used to be the editor of a British Porsche mag. Total 911, I think.

Anyone notice that the RS didn't have the red door pulls. Just had the regular door handles.

The black RS driven by Harris in the video is a test mule, and it is not up to spec cosmetically.
On the site www.evo.co.uk there are two more reports by Harris where he writes about the tech aspects of the car, and passenger experiences.

Very interesting to me (as a future GT3 owner) is that he says very little about the improvements over the regular GT3.

Best,
wurlie

Thumbs up Chris Harris TV...

Chris Harris is a contributing editor at Evo magazine. He is one of the best known motoring journalists in the UK and was previously the road test editor at Autocar, launching the "Chris on Camera" series of video reviews. In motorsport, Chris Harris competed in a GT3 Cup at the Nurburgring in the VLN series. Chris was one of the three editorial contributors at DR (alongside Richard Meaden and Jethro Bovingdon) and has contributed to various other automotive publications through the years...

7 sec faster on the ring is not little and the sound is much aggressive to me.

Fully agree - the sound is quite different and 7sec on the 'ring are a big improvement.
However, I was expecting some statements about the differences felt while driving. Harris drove the GT3 extensively for the Drivers Republic feature, so is very well placed to compare the two.
Would be nice to hear from an independent observer, that's all
Best,
wurlie
