Default GT3RS UK preview invite.

So i'm off to the Porsche Experience Centre at Silverstone on the 30th Nov for a preview of the RS and to meet and listen to Andreas Preuninger.

The preview will comprise of:
- a walk around of the 911 GT3 RS
- one and a half hour drive in alternative Porsche models on our own bespoke designed tracks at the Experience Centre
- passenger rides in a new GT3 generation II model

Sounds like an amusing way to spend 5hrs.....

Henry, wondering if you have made up your mind on an RS yet, or will wait til this preview to decide? Am guessing it will be the RS as it sounds like you have a deposit in.

Hi Mike yes I do have an order in for the RS but I am not going to run the car. I have loved my GT3 but its time for a change and the RS isnt going to be a big enough change over what I have now so I will probably take delivery and sell the car straight on for a profit and buy something different.

I will see come spring but perhaps a Scuderia if the prices continue to fall but my other and probably preferred option is a classic 911. I am currently looking at a replica of a 1971 911ST that cost £140,000 to build! It has a 3.4l engine with 315bhp, weighs under 1000kgs and has every trick bit on it going including WRC spec suspension, its a beautiful thing.

YearOne - would that be Chris Harris' green car? Either way, congratulations on the move to classic!
Best,
wurlie

It would be indeed, going to see it next week I think. I already own a 993RS and as a family we own a 2.7RS so it would be a nice addition

Doesn't Harris also run a Scaglietti?

He has had everything:

993GT2
993RS
M5s various
Range Rover
Scaglietti
3.4l 911 ST rep

Plus many more, not sure how he funds them all exactly!

Harris is currently driving an SL63 as evo long-termer, and an E55 as a family runaround (according to his blogs).
YearOne - what an awesome car you will have!!! Well done! If I ever make my way back to the UK with my GT3.2 I will offer you a brief swap.
Best,
wurlie

Secretly on Porsche's payroll I suspect, judging from his reviews. Just kidding of course. A big fan of his work. Brits just have a way with the English language.

I believe that credit goes many to Anglo-Saxons, but you did put an interesting twist on it.
