Question 30mm is it worth it?

Gee, the lift kit for 3k+ only ups the front end by 30mm, that a little more than an inch. Is it worth it? Thoughts?? Why not just over inflate your front tires a bit if out for a street drive... sinful!

I think I'll just stock another lip spoiler.

Is it worth it?? Yes and no.... Benefits, it will give you that extra clearance to get into steaper driveways and carparks, all be it with scrapping, where normally you may tear off your lip or even damage the front bar. It also lifts the car quickly (2-3sec claimed) and it is relatively light for a complete system.
It doesn't lift as high as some of the aftermarket systems but they take 15 sec to lift which is not always appropriate if you've got traffic behind you approaching.

The trade off is that Porsche charge like wounded bulls because they know it works and will make a difference for many....

I have opted for it knowing full well that I will still scrape here and there and still replace lips. However, I am banking on the fact that it will make the car more useable day to day which will mean that I won't have to compromise and leave it home as often .Thats worth something to me...

If I lived in LA I would get it. Do not need it up here in Seattle

I drive my car every day and it scrapes almost every day, but I still
don't regret not getting the lift. The front lip is pretty tough and I
haven't had to replace it yet. It cracked once but I used J-B weld to
fix it.

I think there are good arguments for and against the front lift and it
will make more sense for some people than others.

By the way, 30mm height is equivalent to a pile of 300 $10 bills...

On my 6-GT3, half the time I just leave the lip at home and stop worrying about it. I'll reinstall the lip just before a track day.

Cheers,

Depends upon whether you ask before or after the damage!

Cheers,
Considered doing the same when my car arrived but was concerned that dispite the increase in clearance, I would misjudge something and damage the bar and the fixing points for the lip... Have you had any issues with this or is the clearance that significant that it no longer remains an issue?

No need for it in Florida, I assume is is removable like the on the current GT3.

I only need to remove the CUP lip to drive in and out of the trailer, 10 seconds to remove, 10 seconds to install.

I have maybe over a hundred scrapes on mine lip and still is in good shape!!, If you really needed in your city I think you will find situations were you will scrape the lip even with the system up! or sooner or later you will forget or misjudge and scrape it anyway!!
In my opinnion once you get used to the situation, you will feel you don't need that extra weight and extra expense$$.

Cheers,
that sounds like a good idea. Is it easy to remove and replace the front lip? How much time? So I guess that will give you and extra 1-2" of clearence?

Depends on where you live. I just posted regarding my drive from Florida to NC and the Tail of the Dragon. Many different roads, some not so good and it was never a problem. I live in FL and it is not a problem here either. Personally I think it is a waste of money, unless of course you live in an area with especially bad roads.

I don't think I need it in Vancouver, but I ordered it anyway. Once you start ticking boxes on the option list, your pen can't stop...
