Default rear brake squeal....

i have used both pagid yellows and blacks on my RS, and on the rear they tend to squeal really loud as i slow down for traffic lights which really sucks.

thoughts?

Both my GT3s did this and both had PCCBs. I ended up just ignoring it. Thats the problem with High performance street cars. they are a compromise and thats one of the things you have to put up with, even with a 300K AMG super car.

One of my rear PCCBs squeal when I use very light braking, as if it's squeaking on 1 specific spot on the rotor. A little harder, I think they might all squeal. Push real hard...no more squeal.

Every now and then I do some very heavy braking on a highway and it goes away for a time.

The brakes may be cold. Cycle thru them a couple of times to heat them up then they will get sticky and quiet.

If they squeal from vibration/resonnance, try TT rear pads. It worked on mine on advice from PCNA. If they screech from track use, then i am afraid you'll have to put up with it.

I hate putting new pagids on- it's not a squeak it's a squack. Mike
