Front Lift System?
Is it just me or does 3 cm (30mm) not sound like a whole lot of lift for $3500? Seems like even in the lifted position, it will still scrape quite a bit on inclines.

It does seem like alot. But when you look at the cost of other options, it is not all that surprisng. My understanding is that the GT3 is 30mm lower than the Carrera models. Can someone confirm that? If this is true, the lift system gives you the same ground clearance as a C2S or C4S. Has anyone gotten a quote on the Techart lift system (60mm), and/or had one installed? Please share any information you may have.

30mm lower, however the spoiler changes the approach angle, much more so than on a C2S

I can tell you where I live, Florida, that it is a waste of money. I have found it no more difficult to navigate curbs and speed bumps than my C2S. Granted I am conscious of the reduced height, however it is no more precarious than those who lower their cars for looks or track purposes. I have been pleasantly surprised at how "livable" the GT3 ride height is. I'm heading North on a road trip in 3 weeks to the Tail of the Dragon. I'll let you know if it is a problem there.

They are always cracking down!!
BTW I had no ride height problems when I drove the Dragon in my '07
It is primarily suited for MC, but FUN none the less
Always interesting photos here: http://killboy.blogspot.com/

Three Wheelin'
Radio delete, A/C delete, headlight washer delete, cloth door pulls... and a lift system adding weight?? Give me a break. LOL. Just rip the front plastic spoiler off. Unless you drive 180 mph, it's a waste.

Cops are terrible there from what I've read. Ticketing people for any little thing; fractions over the center line, 1-2 mph over, equipment violations, etc... Be careful. I believe there is a task force dedicated to enforcing Tail of the Dragon. I know local government had dedicated a lot of cash for that enforcement.

just measured the distance from the ground to the front lip of our GT3. it measures 4 inches. Our car does not however have axle lift. I then measured a regular C2S coupe with standard PASM I got 7 inches to the bottom of the front lip. Hope this helps guys.
