Default Very high clutch pedal GT3

My clutch pedal does nothing the bottom half of the travel and it only grabs at the very last inch of the travel, I have the LWFW.

Is this normal?
Is this adjustable?
I think I am pretty easy on the clutch, but could it be wear?

It has not changed since I got the car 9000 miles ago.

Thanks!

Default clutch

mine has a fairly high release that seems to be consistent. I have 28K miles on my car now. I do notice, however, a "creaking" noise at or just beyond the release point that is more pronounced when the car is warmed up fully.

Wished the release point was a little lower or make some kinda clutch stop so u don't have to depress all the way down. My friend has a clutch stop on his e36m3 from turner Motorsports- felt great when I drove it. Mike

That is pretty normal in these cars, especially with a fresh clutch. Pickup is normally in the top 3rd of the pedal. When the engagement point drops toward the bottom, you know you have a problem.

Nothing like that here.

Thanks guys, good to know. It does not bother me, just wanted to make sure all is OK. With the LWFW you just have to pay attention in stop and go traffic....

Now about that ratteling (Not a light rattle, rather like there is a lose shock) on washboard roads from the front end :-) specially going 30-40 MPH over broken up pavement the front end only. It will not do it slalomming, under breaking or acceleration on a flat road, just when cruising straight over..

Always done it, still normal?

Mine does this too. Dealer checked the strut top nuts and all are tight and to spec. It's probably the top bearing getting worn a bit due to our bad roads here. It doesn't take much play in those bearings to make A LOT of noise based on past experience with my track car. It doesn't appear to have any impact so I've left it alone.

Thanks!

No bad roads here, but Sebring is plenty rough I suppose...

Default GT3 Clutch

Old thread, I know...

Anyways, my new 2011 GT3 intially had a clutch engagement point of half way up (or just under) during the break in period. At 1700 miles I took it to the track and everything went great. Now (2100 miles) the clutch engagement point is very high, almost at the top. Car performs great, no clutch slippage, no noises or rattling. I assume this is still normal? Thanks.

Check your front sway bar ends, mine have came loose twice after Sebring

It will produce the same sound you are referring to
