Rocket: Your photo is of a European spec RS. We will also not be getting the fire retardant cloth seat shown on that photo. So it is entirely possible that PCNA has requested that all US bound RS's have the upgraded alcantara console lid for this market. This would be the same as found on the new gt3's when you order full leather interior. What I find interesting on the 2010 gt3 and RS order guide is that PAG doesn't appear to be offering the leather & nicely stitched console lid with logo 'gt3' or 'gt3RS' as found in the 997.1 gt3's and RS. From my reading of the order guides, there are only two optional lids. One is XLG, the alcantara with the large "Porsche" embossed. It comes with a well defined stitching (the regular alcantara lid has no stitching) that can be ordered with deviating color. The other lid option is #26183 which says "Replaces the Alcantara cover of rear center console storage compartment lid with Standard Leather". It makes no mention of any stitching or logo on it. And since it is a numbered option and not an Exclusive, I doubt that option # 09991 (all Exclusive Options with Deviating Stitching) will apply to it. It is so cheap $160 that my guess is that it doesn't even have stitching or a logo, period. z356

Response from my contact at Porsche re: Option CLA (Thicker alcantara steering wheel Gen 1 or Gen 2?). Sorry, I don't have anything more definitive:
"I have not personally seen the wheel, but my bet is that it is a Gen 2 wheel - hence the delay in production."

Does anyone know if this wheel still has the yellow stripe from the standard GT3 RS wheel?

I think that the NEW GT2 RS Site is sensational compared with the GT3 RS Site.
In particular the cars looked to be real rather than some sort of Mock Porsche Aliens with weird color schemes!
