My dealer asked for 10K which was recommended by Porsche regional manager, any one in the midwest has a deposit ?

The actual explanation is an initial 5k deposit. When the car is announced and the dealer receives an allocation, the deposit is brought up to 10% of the actual order.

I've got 1K down . Dealer not sure of allocation.

From what I know, its $1000 to be put on the list for an allocation. Once the allocation is avaliable and the car is configured to build, its $2500-$5000 deposit including the fist $1000 given.

There's no formula...stealers...err dealers make most of this crap up.

If you change your mind, you can easily transfer the deposit to a Panamera.
I would really like a Panamera RS Turbo if they should make one. Of course, to save weight, I would delete the rear badge.
