Default 1st Drive

I got up at dawn this morning and took my new Gt-3 for a ride. Nice 112 mile jaunt. Pics are attached.

This car is so sweet. I love the alcantara steering wheel and gear shift, nice feel and very comforable. The sound is incredible, I left the sport button on the whole way. At around 3500- 3800 it starts to crackle. I am breaking the car in so I didn't run over 4200 rpms, but the car pulls strong. Ran it up to a very easy 104mph on open back country roads, Very stable. I can't believe the sensory difference between my previous C2S and the GT-3. The car is tight with a firm, but not jarring ride. Nice rebound and damping. Again, much superior to the sport mode on my C2S. The seats are very comfortable and I wouldn't hesitate to take the car for a long ride. Even though it was early lots of folks were staring at the car, pulling up fast from behind or slowing down with a few friendly thumbs up.

Here are the pics:

Georgeous car! Love it! Pics of your interior? Adaptive (power) seats?

By chance did you buy it from Porsche of Melbourne?

great!! That's exciting stuff when you get a new GT3. I still have that excitment whenever I go out to the garage and start it up for a little romp through the contryside. I'm getting ready for a trip to my tire guy this morning. 150 mile roundtrip, no stop light for the first 70 miles. Enjoy!!

Yes, I got it from Porsche of Melbourne. It was a no pressure, no hassle deal. I am very happy. They were a pleasure to work with and are very supportive of our local PCA chapter.

They have a black 2010 GT-3 in stock as well. Beautiful car.

Actually no, not yet. I have been careful to take an angle on bumps and gutters. Thats a good thing. I was really worried about it originally but I feel more comfortable with it now. Mind you I only have 137 miles on the car.

I'm guessing you didn't get the front end lift system? I'm so on the fence about that one, but so far have decided not to get it ...

For a daily driver, I can't imagine not getting it. I'm on the fence about the seats. I love the carbons but don't think they will be practical for a dd.
