The good news is the cars are now in dealership hands. The bad news for this dealer is the funky option combination for a GT car and $135k price tag.

As many guys that are talking about GT3s for street only might as well configure it like a Mercedes Eclass.
I think the die hard GT3 trackster is going by the way side for the blvd cruiser.

- Heated front seats and a gt3?
- 6 disc CD changer - do people still use CD?
- XM radio?
- dynamic cornering lights?
What happened to
- front lift
- dynamic engine mounts
- ceramics
- gt2 seats
- to me, the biggest advantage of not getting all the sound upgrade stuff (I can understand those that get it however) is that if you gut the front trunk you can get a serious amount of extra trunk space - enough to carry lots of track gear
Who specs these cars?

Navigation is one of the fundamental skills a real driver takes pride in. Any "Girly man" can switch on a screen...requires no skill or effort. Also, it's not something required for the track. If I'm intelligent enough to understand the physics, and can keep track of hundreds of data points, braking points, tire temps, turn in, apexes, camber & surface changes.........Shouldn't I be able to find a basic intersection or hotel? It's all a matter of pride in our own skills as "real" drivers. That's who should be driving GT3s. If you can't find your own way, but drive a GT3, perhaps you're just a poseur.
Of course I do use it sometimes in my other cars, when the trip is not about "driving", just transportation. Theoretically the GT3 is ALWAYS about driving...never just transportation, even in my commute.

Dealer told me yesterday that Porsche will not release "available inventory" until all pre-ordered cars have been delivered, and 09 inventories are more depleted. Not sure how this "Extra" car came up. Unless the dealer I spoke to is FOS (big surprise). I was told any un-orderd cars will sit at the port for months in the meantime.

I specced mine minimally but to each his own. A well specced car does not compromise performance.............or ones manliness, uhmmmm, I mean real driving ability.
