I want to hear what the top speed ends up actually being!

Thanks Trakcar, by the way!

How does this compare with their numbers for a 997 mk 1 GT3 ?
Also wonder if there will be a difference testing a US spec car

Who cares about 0-60mph and 1/4 mile data? Do you folks use the GT3 in drag racing?

It matters when a Mustang, Lancer or Subaru blows you away on any racetrack main straight.

Test weight was 3,240 pounds with PCCB's and Carbon Racing Shells. How does that compare to the 997.1 GT3?

EDIT: I see now that the test weight includes driver - sounds pretty light (though I wouldn't be surpirsed if R&T just added the weight of their driver to the published Curb Weight, rather than actually weighing it).

Both the curb weight and test wt are estimated...thus they did NOT actually weigh it.

I would still like to see a test of US spec car on american soil...always seems these pre-production cars (particularly Ferrari) are a wee bit faster than what we can actually buy...

The fact that the GT3 isn't a "drag car" per se makes the figures all the more impressive, particularly for a N/A six. And it gives a comparative benchmark versus other cars.

The slalom speed was 75.9mph (700 ft. w/100 ft. spacing) if that's more up your alley, and it pulled 1.04g lateral acceleration. All in all, damned impressive!

For 997.1 GT3:
Car & Driver got 3.8 0-60, 12.0 quarter @ 118 mph
Edmunds got 3.9 0-60, 12.2 quarter @ 116 mph

So differences are marginal. Would be interesting to see numbers for both generation cars after 5,000 miles or so, when motors are fully loosened up...

Default We saw 312 km/h on the Autobahn

We had it up to an indicated 312 km/h on the Autobahn. Head engineer suggested it would crack 320 km/h but for 'political' reasons they list it lower.

I think he was referring to it being faster than the Turbo as opposed to the green movement but I didn't ask.
