switchcars does make a good point; the difference in MSRP didn't reflect the market value delta of the GT3 vs GT3RS when new, nor does it now.
That said, I do think the RS market value will continue to correct itself as the 2010 GT3 and 2011 GT3RS roll out.

Makes me sick to think of what my 07 (bought in 08) is worth now. Jeepers.
I guess I have more in hand than I would have, had I not bought it (considering the alternative investment).

5000-1000 miles are low miles and about 120. i sold my for 120 about 2 months ago. it sold in less than one day.
a 350 mile car is not the same as 1000 mile car. i personally dont care for low milers. i change cars every 10-12 months and in that time, i rarely put less than 20k miles on each of my cars. but i know some collectors who must have very very low mile cars. i dont understand their mentality, but that's not to say they need my approval to do what they wish. you will not be able to buy a 500 mile or less RS for 120. but their prices are dropping for sure. a whilel back they were above msrp. today, even 350 mile cars at or SLIGHTLY below msrp.
you cannot use NORMAL mkt and NORMAL mentality to value these cars.
i used to collect fountain pens, 10 pens = 1 RS in value.
a pen that has sucked up ink loses value big time
a pen that has been dipped lose some value
a pen that's never inked or dipped hold value well.
guess what, they are all the same pen.
but a pure collector will never take a pen that's been dipped, unless it's super rare like namiki's wine god and such...

That works out to roughly $31 dollars per mile driven difference. Now that is depreciation. Count me out for that one.

The difference is today buyer of a zero-mile RS has few choices...in 6 months they will be able to choose between a 0 mile mk1 or mk2

As said previously, the fact is simply that the RS seller, and an RS buyer are not the same people necessarily that sell or buy a "standard" GT3, more so an extremely low mile car.
Only time will tell how prices hold, especially once the next generation RS comes out. But the fact is simple, Porsche does not ever consider the RS a mass market profit making machine, and would not bother marketing it as such. The car is meant more as a marketing exercise. For them to push prices down to keep in line with the economy does not make sense. They want to make money on the mass volume models... or at least that is what I hope

In the grand scheme of thing, there is really not much difference in volume between GT3 and RS. Both are pretty limited edition. At least in the US, that is. Approx 450 vs 950.

Back on topic a 350 mile Green RS hasnt been driven obviously. So I would worrk about Seating the rings. Some seals may have hardened just sitting there and leak immediately when the motor spins for the first time. Exhaust gaskets havent seated so there may be some leaks or noises. The paper intake filter may be brittle. All the grease fittings should be re greased and thats probably evaporated on all areas needing grease. The battery is probably dead.
This thing could be a maintenence headache right out of the box. Its probably work a few K less than MSRP. There are too many NICE RSs around with low miles around the 120 range with various packages. I.E. there are many high optioned RSs or low optioned RS for the same price to ge much more
