REGULAR PPL run 255 and 315.
but if you ask rad, he can show you how to put 275/355 on the car ;-)

thanks for the sizes, they should work as these 18' track tires/wheels are going to be for tarmac rally duty.
Rad definitly know how to throw a fat pair of socks on a car! His RS went from fat 325's to ultra fat 345's!

Go with 265/35 and 335/30 R18. Take advantage of the wider body on the RS. Don't run the rear 5mm spacer.
I tested a brand new set of R888 235/295 (previously I ran used sets) against Hoosier A6 295/345, the R888 were 3.3 secs slower than the A6 on a 56 secs course. The R888 seems to be on the ballpark with the MPSC, but R888 in the rain are a million times better, and they are much cheaper.

So, in order to run 335's i need to remove the 5mm rear spacer?

Remove the 5mm rear spacer if you want to use a 335, or keep it there if you run a 325 or less.
The 997 GT2 and 997 GT3RS share the body and wheels. The GT2 uses a 325 MPSC. I installed this 325 in the RS and it was a perfect fit, I kept the 5mm spacer (same as the GT2). Later on I ran a 345 MPSC, and that required to remove the 5mm spacer, really tight fit.
At the front, the 265 19" Hoosier A6 and 265 19" MPSC ran on both my stock wheels and the 9"x19" wheels. No changes needed.

I always remove the spacers when putting on the CCW's. You'll have no trouble getting the bigger rubber under the rear.

is there much difference between the stock 235/35/19 and the 235/40/18?
same for the rear 305/30/19 and a 305/35/18?
what does the 18" differ from the 19" in terms of sidewall thickness and contact patch width?
(for a paved rally, im going to avoid going wider then stock to avoid bad rain patches, and to try and get more rubber between me and the potholes etc...)

I know to match up the same diameter for the 19's 235-35-19 and 305-30-19 you would use these sizes for 18's....245-40-18 and 305-35-18. This is what I use on my 09 997S.

I prefer to take advantage of the 18", and run shorter front/rear while keeping the ratios within tolerance.
I would do 255/35 and 335/30 on 18" if running Hoosiers, or 265/35-335/30 with R888. I assume 9"/12" wheels and a GT3 RS.

unfortunitly for rallying, i cant install a fatter tire combo so im trying to stay within stock sizes.
