FS: Porsche 997 GT3 Cup Exhaust
Porsche 997 GT3 Cup Exhaust for sale. Includes headers, cats and Cup S Exhaust. Approx 60lb+ weights savings from stock exhaust. This set up eliminates the side and center mufflers. Cup S Exhaust has been used for approx 1yr and is in excellent condition. Headers/Cats are new. Asking $2500 or best offer.

Yup - it's a direct bolt on for a street GT3. This exhaust is track oriented. It keeps the front and rear O2 sensors so the car is still emissions legal - but it is very loud.

Stisseront, to answer your question about power and the dyno, I have never dyno'd the car. What I do have is a comparison with a '06 Cup Car at the last VIR event in May. Running this exhaust we were completely even on the back straight. We were existing Oak Tree at the same mph and hitting the high 150's before the braking zone. I have heard that '06 Cup Cars are good for about 390hp to the rear wheels and street engines are good for 380hp. Considering his car was 200lb lighter than mine, I would say the power on this exhaust is just fine.

The P.O. did a fantastic job setting that car up. He only used the best when building that car. I think the seller has a great piece of hardware for sale.

Are the headers and Cats the same as street GT3? (they appear the same)
Do the cats add somewhat back pressure at all?
Is there low RPM torque loss with no mufflers?

The headers/cats are from the street GT3, this way it keeps both front and rear O2 sensors so the car runs normally, does not throw check engine lights, and does not need any special programming to account for the loss of cats, etc...
I don't have data to give you an accurate answer on back pressure and torque. Since it's a track oriented exhaust, and your usually high in the rpm range, I never experienced any issues with torque loss, etc...
I think the primary advantage to this system is it's OEM Porsche and it shaves 60+lbs off the rear of the car which is where you want to lose the weight.

Thanks DOUG23.
i will probably run the targa newfoundland with the CUP S exhaust and keep my sharkwerks for the street and tracks with Db limitations.
either way it will be fun!

Hehe... reminds me of what we built for Fred's RS... Be prepared for some earplugs. On the RS without tuning (and even with to be honest) there's a good 20 or so foot pounds of tq loss down low. But if you keep the revs about 5K that won't matter....
I tried it on my car back in 07 and took it off. Would be fun for the track (although not legal around here) and great weight savings but other than that you need dynomat in your ears!
Just in case...
