Paul:

I will repeat, take a good look at the 2009 C2S with PDK. add the sport chrono, limited slip and the PASM plus and you will have a street and trip comfortable care that will challenge a GT3 and be lighter and more nimble than a TT . I could not be happier with mine. and I don't have the sport Chrono.

Paul check out Sharky's Tadpole. I drove it over some of my "top secrete" roads a few weeks ago. It's badass. I was very surprised with the not only the power but the handling as well. It was by far the best non-Gt modern day Porsche I have ever driven!! ( it didn't have a clutch however it was hell-a-fun to launch)

Cheers SnowBoarder and that was a fun day out Glad you liked it too (even sans the third pedal). I've been daily driving her ever since to work and back etc... and she's a blast in that form too. Porsche really did a number on the .2 997 eh?

Paul welcome back to the 911!

I thought "some" people dumped the 997 GT2 (after a very short ownership period) because it was boring?

Paul - welcome back to the fold! If it makes you feel better, I just lost $75k in 1 year on my wifey's AMG as well.

I highly recommend you do the PSDS Master Class and drive the new PDK S and turbo. You'll be surprised about the PDK S. I found the turbo outright boring - sorry.

Old guy what were your honest impressions of the C63? I saw one on the road the other day, and it really looked very sporty, and it tore azzz down the road was it simply too "boring" as compared to the engaging experience of a 911? I love my p-car, but at times, as a DD, I am somewhat frustrated by it. I must admit that a CLS63 or C63 is an appealing option I am considering for when my lease is up in 6 months

Yep, but there's another layer they didn't get to....one only some will. 997 GT2 is NOT boring; it's sublime.

my family has had many mbz, they made good cars, but not lately
the 450sel 6.9
450slc 380slc
560sec to name a few, but as i said many times, if you want a current mbz for commute, any AMG would do. they are all fast and all boring but all very nice cars. plenty of nice boring cars out there. my bmw, lexus and honda are all pretty nice and boring.

if you want a REAL AMG there are ONLY three in every made.

Porsche 500E
CLK-BS
the original HAMMER.

You dont have to mod the **** out of a TT to have fun. Its just a matter of the shocks and sways.

Cole the C63 is fun and it is more fun than the M3 but its just a sedan and not a 911. For an everyday
car it is alot of fun. But so is a TT. Its just not in the same club as a 911. I have a BMW X5 4.8 that is fast in a straight line too and it just sits in the garage. so I will drive that daily when I dont want to drive the 911 or its windy or rainy. BUT if I take the 911 to Mammoth I wont have to worry about the occasional june or sept snow storm.
The C63 would be perfect if I could keep the TT and the AMG.
