Lol..oh now we're pushing it...."no buyer" for a second hand GT3 just because it has steel brakes.

Not a problem I experienced....

And I still would not add PCCBs to the spec list...

Applying that logic, won't lightweight wheels with PCCB compound the unsprung weight savings and therefore the benefit?

Interestingly I've seen comments suggesting that PCCBs big advantage is now road comfort and not performance!

Anyone seen a published height for the front lip without lift system?

Not a specific ride height but the mk2 has -30mm PASM so logically it should be 10mm(ish) lower than the mk1.

The ride height system raises it back up by 30-35mm. Therefore when activated it should raise the front clearance to be the same as a normal carrera (without aerokit).

Does anyone know if the new 380mm steel rotors and calipers will allow 18" wheels? That would certainly be a factor for me if the PCCB's can run 18" track wheels and the steels couldn't.

While many people switch there pccb for steel, no one switchs because it works better, just cheaper. PCCB rotors are amazing and are a great option. you will get a decent portion of this back in resale later, and as someone said before might help sell the car. I find it hard to believe anyone would want a heavier wheel package as a good thing. If that is the case just put on some cheap heavy wheels and go racing

I read am article where one test driver thought the added weight of the Steel Brakes suited the GT3 mk2 better in driving feel. Dont remember the mag though.

after owning a 997 GT3 with steel and a 997 RS with PCCB and driving both around town and on the track, I'm getting PCCBs for each car from now on. I like the harder pedal feel and the lighter feel of the wheels/steering due to the lighter weight. that's just me- and for your 115k or whatever, do what you want.

assuming my RS allocation comes through, I'm definitely getting the dynamic mounts and pccb

How many of you are ordering PCM? Requires adding Sound Package Plus, which seems a bit of a waste in this car, but I find I like playing NAV systems a lot more than I would've thought before owning one.
