Default O.Z Alleggerita HLT DELAY

I ordered a set of OZ racing rims in Feb. 2/16/09 to be correct. they were to be delivered the first of April. I called and then was told it would be the end of May.
Below is what I just took off of tire rack's web. they are now saying the first of July. I am wondering if anyone has had the same issue and has any information as to why one would have to wait 5 months for set of rims? I am ready to just cancel otherwise they will show up Nov 1 when I am ready to put the car up for the winter.

Item Description Availability Qty. Price Each Item Total
18X8.5 Black Painted O.Z. Alleggerita HLT ESTIMATED 06/27/09 2 $405.00 $810.00
18x12 Black Painted O.Z. Alleggerita HLT ESTIMATED 07/01/09 2 $484.00 $968.00

Buy a set of CCW's...much better wheel...they are forged for $27-2800....and they have awesome resale. The cast OZ's that you are waiting for will not be in the same league as the CCW's.

i am not sure why ppl like volks or OZ for GT3 application. the C10 and C14 from CCW are much stronger and better wheels. volks and oz has better finish that's about it.

the only wheels i would take over CCW are BBS motorsport 3 piece or 1 piece magnesiums. but thos are 3x the cost of CCW.

Mooty one of the main reasons I took a good look at this rim is that it is supposed to be super light weight and strong, Yes the finish is nice but that was not the selling point, the price was not to bad either, but I am about ready to dump this idea.

No worries and my pleasure. Sorry you're having hassles with your order on the OZ's

I'm actually mistaken though.. it's $2500 and for just the wheels:

understood. i just dont like tire rack very much. i have 50% chance of success buying my tires from them. always need me to confirm address this or that. i cannot recall which card is registered with which mistress's address. so few days after i order, i get a notice that i am a fraud....

Agreed it feels like for ever. This is how stupid I am, i bought tires 18's expecting the the rims would be on time. so I got two sets of 19 inch OE rims and one set of 18 inch rubber, Brilliant.

What ever happened with these?? Saw them and that they came in GT2 fitment, great looking wheels and finish looks tough, had issue with CCW finish some time ago... Thoughts? CCW still a much better choice? Want another set of wheels!

The OZ prices make them almost disposable if you ding one, and the weight is quite low.
