Default Homelink install revisited

Mike Grande at LNS MotorCars wired me up a Homelink setup today.
It's a factory look result w/o the $480 factory part. It is hardwired, no battery needed, done right with the proper amperage.
Yea! No more remote hanging off my visor.

Mike is an engineer, I think formerly of NASA.
He told me the details, but a bit out of my range.
A voltage regulator going from 12 v to 3.3v was used from radio shack.
The transmitter is out of a the smallest Genie remote, which I had been using.
Micro soldering wires from remote button circuit to factory 997 button was done to achieve push button results. Liquid electric tape over bare wires.
LED light is not working though, it requires connecting "Logic' system and more $.

I purchased the actual Homelink module from Porsche. Yes, it was over $400 and I no longer am interested in installing the system. Anyone what to make a reasonable offer? It was never installed, and is still in the original box.

Thanks!

Mark
