Default X-Post: FS: 1995 Ruf BTR, Rennlist Special: $64,990 firm

Hi,

After much deliberations, I am grudgingly putting my beloved 1993 Ruf BTR-2 on sale here. I have listed it on the Rennlist For Sale Forum.

Too much information to list on one post, so please visit my web page below for details. You will find that this is a truly unique and incredible car.

http://sites.google.com/site/993rufbtr/

I have consulted many many sources and while there is no concensus, all indication is that about $70,000 is a fair price for my precious baby in these difficult times. I would love for this car to remain in the Rennlist family so I am listing it here for a discounted price of $64,990 firm. I will see if it sells in the next two months. If it does not, I may pursue other avenues at a higher asking price.

Truth is I do not NEED to sell the car, and will not entertain low-ball offers. If the economy improves my car may be off the market for a long long time. If you are interested, or have questions, please PM me or direct e-mail at tobystf@yahoo.com

Thanks for your indulgence and happy shopping.

Cayman is also on the block. So are the real estates. Troubling reality is: NOTHING sells these days.

Just read your excellent site for your BTR - well done

Just one item which I think is incorrect. The georgeous Recaro A8 was never officially offered or fitted by Porsche to any car, it was a tuner seat. A beautiful, functional tuner seat

Toby,

I stand corrected then. My info came from my PO and I assumed he knew what he was talking about.

Pong, I'm sorry to see you offering the Ruf for sale. I'm sure you wouldn't be disposing of it without good reason. I remember that car well and from your Web site, you've spared no expense. It occurs to me that you might contact the US and Canada Ruf agents -- they're probably the best reference on fair market value and they would probably have the best access to Ruf enthusiasts. Well, the car looks fantastic in the photos and those new wheels are a perfect match. Good luck. Cheers,

Joe,

I remember you well. We met in BMW Fremont when Emperor arranged an M5 meet. You really enjoyed the drive. We followed up with a few -mail exchanges as my friend Bill Bennett (ZCat) had a 993TT for sale and I thought you might be interested.

Welcome to this forum.
