New GT3/RS with PCCB
#33
Pccbs.. This is probably the best component improvement in the 997 line-up and you are going to pass? IMO its a must, and will be a even more of a must when you sell that car later on.
Btw I have them on a 650hp+ tt and after 6 track days the rotors look like new. And I do have a heavy foot as well.. Unsprung weight is also very important. PCCBs + lighter wheels (have dumags) make a hell of difference in these cars.
Go for it, I promise you, you'll not regret it.
PS i dont even mention the performance & feel improvement, these are given (if you ve ever driven back to back gen 3 pccb's vs steel)

PCCB are among the best brakes available. They tolerate higher temperatures, they last longer, and they take a lot of weight out of the car, unsprung rotating mass.
However, PCCB don't keep a good value on an used car, there is practically no price difference between used cars sold with PCCB or cast iron rotors.
There is a new technology that produces rotors half the weight of the current PCCB. On these new brake kits, the calipers are around 6 lbs lighter than then stock ones. Weight saving with this Brembo system is close to 50 lbs over PCCB and over 90 lbs over standard GT3 brakes. The cost is close to $40k.
