<ignorance>
Is the intake plenum designed for a restrictor plate?
Perhaps it's just a theoretical limit of the engine.

It's a little more fiddly to get to the "top service" oil filter now ... : )

Grussell,

Which version of the intake is that, and what part of it if any is custom? We looked briefly at fitting one of the RS/ RSR intakes to my 997 cup motor, but the one we had didn't come very close to matching up with the cup ports, so we dropped it. This seems like it was designed to fit, though, and looks pretty slick...

The RSR throttle bodies are mounted to 3/8" thick aluminum plates that relocate the throttle bodies to line up with a stock RS CF plenum.

475 to the ground?! Are you nuts?! Scratch that. Redundant question. : ) The engine is going to be quite something. I trust you'll be doing justice to the car with a high quality mic and HD video of the dyno runs. : )

If that's about a 20% drive train loss, you're aiming for over 550 at the flywheel, even an impossible 10% loss with an exotic gearbox you're asking for 520-530 HP. And I imagine you're shooting at 8500 rpm? Higher?

Power to weight, that's 550 into 2520. Is that about 4.5? I guess if you were shooting for 5lb/hp, you've certainly reached your goal and then some.

I've driven my car (3000lb) tuned to about 440 at the wheels (aiming for about 520 flywheel) and it was marvelous (993 Turbo in AWD) but still drivable and fun without being too much (Bob did the "too much" car ...) At 2500lb, the brakes, the apex speeds and G loads will be neck-snapping. I hope you're a lot more physically fit than me! I rode my dirt bike (Aprilia RX550) for half an hour today just to burn off some calories and make sure the tweaks I made this week are dialed in and ready for a trip next week. My legs feel like I must have won the Boston marathon ...
