Wide fendered RS project
Converting the RS to full track duty. Just trial fitted the RSR wheels to see if we need to buy all new wheels or use the RSR's.
Fender extensions will be ordered.

that is a 996RSR faschia.
to be honest, it might be cheaper to just order new fenders and skins. front fenders (carbon if you're really sick in the head) are about a grand if you know where to look. rear bumper and rear skins are a bit more. will you be doing the full cage and carbon doors?

- love the project
- keep us informed and a list of parts you end up using
- is the CupS front bumper with the GMG wider fenders and rolling the rears feasible?
- personally thinking of doing the cheap man's version by going with the GMG front winder fenders to fit a 265 hoosier in the front and then just rolling the rear rears to fit a 325 in my narrow body gt3

there isn't really that much room to roll stuff on this car. steel fenders are really a lot cheaper than you would think- (about 450 bucks for cup fenders from PMNA)

street legal is a relative term. if you take out the interior and really go ***** out- I don't think sitting in traffic with a sequential tranny and no interior would be fun

True, but take one step back: lightweight felt interior, not ridiculously loud exhaust, maybe 600/800 pound springs instead of 1100/1300, standard transmission and you'd have a livable (for me) car that's just a hair short of pure race car with no tow needed. To me this is the real RS dream.

you have it. marginally street legal. Reliable engine & trans. much less maint. than cup
plan now is:
Full cage: tower to tower
carbon doors
fender extensions
new wheel well interiors
motons
Full spherical susp ends.
proab not uprights, roll center reduction looks like only small? 1/2"?
nose is 996 carbonRSR, rest is siting in garage to patch up last years mistakes!!
