Default FS: BBS Motorsport Wheels

$4,400 plus shipping

I have a set of 19" BBS Motorsport wheels with a set of MPSC tires mounted and balanced. The wheels are in excellent condition (one front wheel has some minor rash on the face), and the tires have a lot of tread left with only 2 track days and one short autoX (five 60 second runs).

These wheels and tires are in the stock 997 GT3 size with the following offsets:

front: 55
rear: 63 (eliminates the spacers)

There is nothing wrong with them and they are properly balanced; they were smooth with a quick run up to about 140 mph.

I bought them used from a Rennlist member about a month ago, and I am only selling them to free up some space and cash. I really do not need them, but I could not resist them at the time. Brand new these wheels range in price between $7K to $8K, and you know what the tires go for. I will sell these wheels with tires for $4,400 plus shipping. That includes the cool center caps.

I will also offer the buyer the option to paint the center portion of these 3 piece wheels (and no, the center will not be removed during the painting process; you don't want to, or need to do that). The paint option will add $400.00 to the price of the wheels, thus bringing the total to $4,800.00. You can have them painted in silver, grey, black, white, gold, or whatever you want. If you want a specific paint to match from a sample, then it might cost a little bit more.

PM me if you are interested.

Stephen

Stephen, how many sets of wheels do you have anyway? For those of you who are concerned about buying wheels off of the web, I can honestly say that Stephen exceeded my expectations with the stock GT-3 wheels that he sent me. The wheels were in awesome shape, and he even through in new GT-3 center caps. It took me 2 hours just to unpack the wheels since they were packed so meticulously!!! There must have been 20 pounds of packing materials and tape protecting the wheels! Stephen told me that it took him 10 hours just to pack them!!!!

Based upon my experience, I would definitely do business with him again!

Happy motoring!!!

Mark

Based on my experience I would say that Stephen is certainly a man of his word and I wouldn't hesitate to purchase these wheels. Only wish I had a GT3!!

By the way Stephen, the Yellow GT film looks great on the headlights!!

They are the stock 19" MPSC tires in a 235/35 front and 305/30 rear. They have a ton of tread left, definitely over 50%.

I'm fairly certain that the first wheel in the pics above is the one that has the minor marks on it. They are not scuffs really, but more like a few small chips; like rock chips. What I suspect happened is that the wheel fell on its face one time on concrete or asphalt. I will get a closer shot and post that tonight.

The individual who I purchased them from did not disclose the damage, but it did not bother me very much because of the price and the fact that the damage is minor. Overall the wheels are in excellent condition and they are straight and true and properly balanced. With the tires included, and those center caps, the wheels are really only costing about $3,600.00 at the most. That is a deal and half for that caliber of wheel.

And if you want the center painted, then they will be just like new and the minor damage will no longer be an issue. I can actually do the painting for $325.00 if we do just the centers as mentioned. But they look awesome just the way they are.

I wish I had the extra cash free'd up for these wheels. I need a new set of track wheels for my Carrera S (997S). I do believe these will fit a 997S?

Anyone want to buy a Panerai PAM88 GMT? LOL

BTW, what are the widths of these wheels?

I have been told by the Service manager at my local Porsche dealer that the wheels and tires from a 997 GT3 are a match for the 997 Carrera S with but one small difference. The Carrera S uses 295 tires on the rear mounted on 11 inch wheels where as the GT3 uses 305 on 12 inch wheels. The front tires and wheels are the same. Hope this is true as I have a set of front and rear RSGT BBS wheels and Mich PS2s' that I took off my GT# and plan to mount on the 2009 Carrera S . By the way in the RSGT wheels the widest BBS makes for the Porsche 911 (ok 997 including GT3) body is 11 inches for the rear. Mine should fit great and these offered with cup tire should also. Need to call Santa.

f4 plt, true but if you get the Carrera S wheels they are 11.5x19 and come with 305's. I had the 11" Turbo wheels on my last Carrera S and the 305's fit perfect on them anyway.

For the track I ran CCW wheels 9x18 and 12x18 Toyo R888 255-35-18 fronts and 315-30-18 rears with no issues on my 997S.

I bought a set of BBS wheels (brand new) three weeks ago, and the bill was way over $6,000, not including the center caps that are another $400/$500.

MPSC are another $2,000. Deals like this don't show up that often. This is great deal.

Are the front wheels 9" or 8.5" ?

Actually I need (ideally) 5 sets: streets, MPSC, slicks, AutoX, rains

I'm looking for a set of OEM Orange to put PS2. For rain tires, the 996 Turbo cheap used wheels are more than enough, 225/275 x 18".

8.5" front and 12" rear; just like stock. What is cool is that you can get different barrel sizes and have the factory change the width and offset for you without having to buy a whole new wheel.
