I don't think there is enough frontal sq ft to put the v8 in the front of that...even if it is really low mounted

There's a 2 door Panamera coming. Look closely at the exhaust. They aren't crossed over as would be on a rear engined car. It could be mid engined..but look also at the wheel offsets front/back. Not a 911 stance. I still think it's the Panamera and not the 991 (next 911 2011). This mule is too big to be a 911.

also, the mufflers are way to far inside for a rear engine to fit between!

IMO there's no way its a Pana-2 door; and if the muffs are too far inboard then maybe Porsche has decided to move the engine a bit further forward for better handling? There are very few 911 owners that utilize their rear seats for passengers after all.

The prevailing theory over at Rennteam is that this is the Panamera Coupe (2 door). At least the chassis is.

Not saying you're wrong because I obviously have no idea, but for Porsche to do this whole "4 doors, no compromises" campaign and then release a coupe version would seem...stupid, counter-intuitive, pick your insult. Sort of like Merc coming out with a 2 door CLS. I can't believe someone in that meeting at PAG wouldn't have said "vait a minute...didn't ve just tell zem zat ze 4 door vas sporty enough?"
