Question

Are those 65mm studs 65mm total length or from hub face to end?

yes, oem bolts replaced with studs
they are stronger and also easier to change tires.

if you search CDOC or just call them, ask for steel nuts for track use. they will send the right stuff.
Maybe simple questions;
How do you install these studs? Just screw them in the hole where the lug bolt goes now? How do you make sure they do not come out or loosen, can they still be removed?
Do the studs come with nuts the same size as the bolts are now?

Thanks!

Yes you use Loctite. Some studs have a hex in the end to allow initial tightening, but to get the final torque you thread two nuts on together, pinch them tight against each other and then screw the stud in to its final torqued position.
They rarely come loose under normal use. However, if you are racing and & changing wheels x times per day then occasionally one or two will loosen. However as long as you have the proper # of theads engaged once torqued, even a "loose" stud will hold fine. However re-tightening & re-"Loctite-ing" loose studs is obviously the proper course of action.

Default Ball seat vs. OE washer

I have two questions. the OE wheel bolt has a washer that provides the ball seat, but the bolt turns inside the washer so when you are tightening the bold the washer just seats up against the wheel so its not turning and grinding on the aluminum wheel as you are tightening it. Using the ball seat nut it's solid so it has to turn and tighten on the rim. I would assume over time that will distort or ring out the seat surface, anyone using this system see a problem.

Rennline offers this alternative anyone try this compared to the CDOC option its the same concept, not sure if its the same quality?

Any thoughts?

i used these for 3 years on my track toys.
http://store.cdoc.com/detail.asp?id=20222&name=
never had issue.
63mm length willwork. the longer one bottoms out before you lock up the nuts.
Before I order them, do the studs stick out? How does it look compared to just the bolts? Does you have a pic with the OEM wheels on? Will these work with my Volk wheels, the description says for BBS wheels?

I bought and installed the Rennline stud kit. No complaints works as advertised.

Default Pics

Here are some pics...
These are ACS "TrackStud" brand, not BBS. "TrackStuds" have been used in SCCA, BMWCCA, PCA and Koni Cup for years.

If interested there are some for sale on EBay here:

my looks like the 2nd pix, 2nd and 3rd studs.

what i want is the stud on the left. but the one i found doesnt work b/c the nut would bottom out before the wheel is locked up. (the unthreaded portion of the stud is too deep). does this left one you show work with oem wheels?
