2010 GT3?
I cannot confirm rumors of a new GT3 from any dealer. I've tried contacts at three dealers. Nothing is on the table that they will admit to right now. Personally, I do not think we will see anything for several years.

Actually, it's a 3-car. But, I'd have to throw my wife's car out <bad move>.
Who knows, if they make another RS, the 'magic bus' may see the driveway.

- i would think they first want to sell a bunch of s and s4 and then a few x51 packs on each at good profits first plus also test the reliability of these for a full season to see how they hold up especially with the new trannies
- if you are correct, then it is likely that the first DI gt3 will be fairly conservatively tuned (maybe only a 20hp increase) otherwise a 3.8 DI 8400rpm revving gt3 should be 450hp+ and that is going to cost me a lot of money (and if they widen the front fenders to fit 275 rubber then o my god that car is going to cost me a divorse because i will have to own one)
- can you imagine a 450-460hp pdk widebody with mich slicks

They need to finish with the new dry sump design of the new A91 motor first. It has to be a dry sump IMHO. I was reading in the 3 volume Porsche books("Excellence was Expected" or whatever they are called) about the 996 development and how they almost did not have the dry sump GT1 motor. But then they realized they could use it in the turbo and GT3/2's and such so it was worth the investment. Why wouldn't they do that for the new turbo and 3???
I'm just hopeful I guess, but a real race car needs a true dry sump motor IMO.

I do agree with this because of how fast they are getting out the current line of 997 MKII's. They have all of them right now from the C2 to the C2S 4 Cab. All they are missing is the turbo and the GT3. So why not come out in mid to late 2009 as a 2010 model.
Also, I just heard from my dealer that the new Boxster is on the way and they have an allocation for one. Once the DI Boxster and Cayman are also out, then there is nothing else to do but the turbo and GT3. Oh wait, there is the Panamera, but that doesn't count!
